A class you must study for, no choice and no way out of that. Lots of notes and well written tests, but strait forwards nonetheless. A big advice from me MAKE SURE! to get the highest grade possible on those two first tests, im talking about A+ cuz her final is a gut wrencher. Their is no way in hell your gonna get an A on it! Oh and do Extra credi

Prof. Engler is awesome. She teaches you a lot about theories, the human skeleton, and more. She is really sweet and helps you out if you do not understand something. She is easy and there are EC assignments in case you do bad on an exam.

Easier than a catholic school girl gone bad. I didn't even show up for one test and barely studied for the final and got an A. I didn't even do the extra credit assignment. You have 3 tests (100pts) and she drops one, a final(100pts), 50 participation pts, plus 35 potential extra credit. That is a total of 385 and you only need 315 for an A.

Professor Engler is very fair. She is smart and loves her subject. Take good notes. 2 books. text book backs up her lectures, and a reading book. two part tests. scantron and essay. lecture and textbook tests are based on scantron and essay questions are based on the reading book. take notes, attend class and do your reading. this is a hard subject

The class isn't that hard, She gives you study guides for the test, the problem is, and sometimes you don't know where to find the answer for the study guide. While taking notes, she recall something she forgot to say and will just write it on the board COPY ALL NOTES, and answer the question to the study guide, do the EC, and you'll be fine.

Overall I have to say I enjoyed this teacher. She can be boring and a little irritatingly strict as well as a bit unorganized at times. However, she is very knowledgable, helpful, and offers tons of great extra credit. Really my criticisms are only minor. I reccomend taking this class. Interesting subject and a very good teacher.

I admit that her lectures can sometimes be boring, but there are many interesting parts. You don't have assignments to turn in, but the tests can be challenging (most are multiple choice). However, as long as you go to class & can vaguely answer the study guide questions, you'll be fine. She offers a lot of extra credit & I got an A in the class.

I learned alot from this professor.Lectures are long but interesting. Take good notes and follow the study guide. You don't need the text book if you take good notes. You do need the other book.Attendence is a big factor. She gives good extra credit and there are fun (La Zoo etc) Memorization skills are helpful. On the negative note she can get a bi

SO PAY ATTENTION!!!AND COPY EVERYTHING!!!!

She's a great lecturer, and a terrific lady. Her exams are sometimes tough, because there's so much information to absorb, but they are mostly scantron. I figure a neandertal could pass her class, if he could just remember all the names of the OTHER hominids! That's the toughest part of the class, actually. SHe also gives great extra credit!

Good instructor. Informed, enthusiastic. Class not a walk in the park. She'll challenge you but is reasonable. Attend class, do extra credit and you'll probably do better than you expect. If you are looking for an "easy" survey course then maybe you should reconsider

Has flashes of real inspiration in her lectures, but tries to cram too much in and loses the focus. Can be boring, and can be very condescending towards students some days. Very nit-picky on multiple choice testing, very fair on essay questions. Gives A LOT of extra credit opportunities.

She does lecture horrible. She tends to talk down to the students. But she gives you a study guide for every test and as long as you find the information on the guide you will do fine. I walked away with an A and barely paid attention to her lectures. It is doable.

This teacher makes the entire class based on trival things. "Facts" that are presented in her class contradict reality and therefore makes tests fairly vauge. I guess if you put ENOUGH time in any class you'll do fine, but why waste your time?
