Comment:
Professor Morgan is incredibly passionate about Astronomy, and it shows. His lectures are pretty disorganized and he gets on tangents easily, but I read the textbook and fared decently well in this class. There are three (mostly) multiple choice exams and a final paper. Copious amounts of extra credit.

Is a solid teacher that knows his stuff. He made the material a little bland and likes minimal participation but knows his stuff and will help you if you have a question. A decent math teacher and if you can study you can pass his class.

I selected "Easy A". This is only if his teaching style is for you. He does not work through very many problems, but he will work through maybe one to three problems per class period in great detail, explaining even many of the aspects that should be part of your foundation "at this level". MT283 with Morgan gave me great understanding of material

Clear your schedule and take Diff Eqs (MT284) with Prof. Cercone in the summer. By taking it with Morgan you're setting yourself up for failure. By junior year at UB, every class will revolve around Diff EQs. Morgan will not give you an adequate foundation, regardless of your grade in his class.

This professor is awesome if you're actually in school to learn. He explains things in a very visual way which is extremely helpful in a tricky subject such as math. He takes things slow, gives you homework that will actually be useful to you, and answers questions IF YOU ASK. All I'm saying is I've always failed math, and I got an A in his class:)

He goes through material very slowly, so if you are smart and study every day you will get an A in his class. He explains everything very well and detailed. If you have hard time in math- he is your professor.

Most interesting lectures on astronomy ever and he tells great/funny stories. Has vested interest in math, science, and loves to learn from students as well as teach them. Great guy, always very lenient and nice with me and all my class about deadlines (which is perfect because I have some work conflicts) If your reading this terry, your awesome!

I was nervous when I found out that I he would be my teacher. The calc class I took is forNonEngineers/Science majors but I don't think he's bad. He's not organized and tends to babble on about Physics. Seems stand-offish but he's actually nice. Goes very slow and gives review sheets for each test. You just have to tough his clas out.

The reason he goes slow is because he covers everything VERY thoroughly. If you have an interest in math and science, you should love the guy. He is one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. Tests are easy, gives good grades and he is very lenient and allowed me to retake a test I had overslept for. MT283,MT284

First try to be objective people. Don't attack the guy he is actually pretty nice and smart. I wanted to find out what he was like, I had to take his class, and I was terrifed after reading, but he was helpful/approachable when I asked questions. He can forget your name, but it doesn't effect his teaching. Simply, style doesn't work for everyone.

Not helpful at all! Tests aren't so bad becasue he usually gives a pretest, but is just horrible at teaching, only taught from the textbook which doesn't help because there is hardly an example more or less just an explanation and a bad one at that moreover attendance didn't seem to important. He won't know your name either, makes it a point not to

Talks more about jobs he worked in college or astronomy than the material itself. Calc II was a nightmare, made worse by his awful lectures. In Diff. Eqs., after 15 wks he's still on Chapter THREE, so you leave grossly under-prepared. He also supports wind & solar, which proves he's not too smart. Worse than Zych, but not by much. AVOID HIM.

A COMPLETE IDIOT! Do not take his class, he would rather talk about astronomy and shoveling his driveway than teach about math, all tests are totalyl eay, but when it comes down to the final exam, you know nothing and will fail and not be allowed out of the course and have to repeat, i knpow of 15 people whom that has happened to, DO NOT TAKE HIM

Sometimes arrives late, then runs over. Spends too much time on textbook examples and not enough on homework. Tests are fair and based on material covered. He teaches astronomy so it comes up in every other course too.

Took for Calc. II, DiffEq. One word horrible. Essentially he reads the book to the class which is not helpful. Rarely goes over homework. Forgetful. He has no passion for the job. Honestly, each class made me sick to my stomach because of how horrible a teacher he is.

Explains the material very well. Too slow at the beginning of the semester and speeds up towards the end. You need to pay attention during the class and take good notes to get a good grade.

Differential Equations, Calc I, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. This man is the most confusing teacher in the world. Due to the shortage of teachers I was forced to take this teacher. PREFER OTHER TEACHERS, very difficult VERY UNCLEAR. THANK GOD for the curve

Gives very hard tests. He is more interested in the history of mathematics than with the material. Wasted many classes talking about history instead of teaching. Avoid him for this class. There are better teachers at ECC North who teach this class.
