This professor was ok. Her class looked to have clear guidelines, and then she didn't follow them. That was confusing. Also, it was discouraging when she completely ripped apart my script with only sometimes relevant comments. Do what she wants, and you'll get an A.

Quite the rude woman. Interested in tearing apart student work. Half way through the year I realized that her commentary was useless and ignored her feedback- making changes for the sake of pleasing her.

I took Professor Welty for Screenwriting Online. She was extremely helpful. Her feedback tremendously helped my screenplay. The class is very straightforward. Just do your work, and follow instructions carefully and you'll be golden.

I took Screenwriting online. Instructions were easy to understand and follow. Assignemtns were simple and straightforward. It took a lengthy amount of time for her to grade assignments and feedback regarding our work would have been helpful before moving on to future assignments, but other than that it was an interesting class overall.

She name drops like crazy but I couldn't find her anywhere in terms of screen credits or IMDB. Was upset my script made fun of New Yorkers (Tilando) which she is one. Became defensive and ordered me to throw out project. My Writers Guild Agent told me it was okay and didn't know what her problem was. She swears like a sailor.

The worst professor I have had yet for Digital Media. She drops names like crazy, tells you she worked for films and tv shows, yet you can't find her name anywhere on IMDB.com. I think she makes up half this crap. She is not very helpful either. Worst teacher I've had since I've started at Valencia!!

Pretty 1easy class. She forces you to try to understand movies. Her comments on your scripts are very helpful. She's got an arrogant vibe to her, but you have to for her field. Watched a bunch of movies. An easy 'A' if you like writing. Assignments are on WebCT (A plus for me anyway). She makes coffee for morning classes. Over all, a fun class.

Adjunct professor. It's totally true that she's a name dropper. She makes you automatically sick of the Hollywood Personality. Writes for film magazines - she is actually very knowledgable. Ask her for specific help outside of class to get the work done. Don't worry so much about the final product. It's more important that you try hard.

Great teacher. Very knowledgable and helpful. She is a bit tough on grading and can come off as harsh at times, but in the end she is fair. Very fun class, very fun woman - makes the time pass quickly. She appreciates hard work, though. Not sure if she's coming back for Spring 2005; I do hope so!

total name dropper. she won't miss a chance to tell you she worked for ridley scott. also, she may be a very good writer (i haven't read anything she's written so i can't judge that) but her teaching skills leave something to be desired. sh'e very unclear on her assignments.

Prof Welty was really nice. She can be tough at times with some scripts but it was always to help you improve so you're not offended, very useful! She is experienced I definitely suggest her for screenwriters. I learned everything I wanted to.
