Great teacher... but I think he grades pretty harshly. There are 3 term papers throughout the semester. I feel I worked hard on them and did well, but I only got B's. Be aware that you MUST do the reading... gives quizzes everyday at the beginning of class.

Wonderful Teacher! u will learn so much! If ur looking 4 a typical easy ASL class, this is not it. You have to work for your grade, he makes all other ASL teachers look lazy. Serious about his job, professional & clear. HW is basic college level, & simple if ur a serious college student. The only people who say he's difficult R the lazy slackers.

This class is really cool, and you learn a lot. However, if you do not excell in writting reports or reading about 100 pgs every other day you might want to reconsider. Tom assigns a lot of homework, but if you dont mind that he's awsome.

Really good class to take from Tom, fun, lot's of discussion you really get to know everyone. I would recomend this class to everyone!
