Professor Vogel is a good guy. He cares and wants you to learn. Calc 2 is a hard subject, but if you do your homework you will pass. His tests are made DIRECTLY from the homework. So do the homework twice and you will be fine. He is always willing to help you.

Comment:

Best Professor in math I have ever had. Takes his time explaining everything and makes sure everyone understands the material before moving on. He is light hearted, fun, and extremely intellegent. I would highly recommmend him, as long as you do the homework you will be perfectly fine :)

Thomas Vogel deserves a higher pay check. This man puts most UCF math professors to shame. Vogel is by far the best mathematics teacher. If you are going in to engineering, actuarial science or any high science or technological field take him. :]

If you plan to take algebra in the summer and math isn't your strength, I would not recommend taking this teacher. His teaching style went way over my head, as he often began tangents about physics and other subjects that did not supplement the subject at all.

Quite honestly the best math teacher I've ever had. I've failed math classes before but I've never had a problem in his class. He's always helpful and patient and never makes someone feel stupid for asking questions. I wish I could have him for more classes. (And hey, he's not too bad to look at either.)

Awesome Awesome teacher! If you have been out of math for a while, you have to study 10x's harder, but he is always willing to help out before/after class and does not make you feel dumb for asking questions. Did I mention he is easy on the eyes....hott!!!!! And he has to have his starbucks before class.

Excellent teacher! Tom doesn't talk down to students that don't understand - he seems to have an infinite amount of patience. He has a clear and *inspiring* teaching style all his own. DO THE HW, ask ???'s, and you'll do great!

Tom Vogel is the greatest Math teacher I have ever had! I took Intermediate Algebra 5 times before taking Tom and passing. He has a way of explaining things that actually makes sense to those of us not interested or good at Math! He is very helpful and his tests are taken from the homework! He's great! You won't regret taking him!

Tom is a great math teacher. I had taken 1033 before and failed it. I got an A in this class, not because it was easy, but because he takes the time to teach you everything you need to know. I think his grading is extremely fair and he drops your lowest test grade. I wish I could take him for College Algebra, but he's going to Stetson in the fall.

He is a REALLY NICE GUY BUT VERY CONFUSING AND TEACHES AS IF WE SHOULD KNOW THIS STUFF. HE GOES BACK TO COLLEGE ALGEBRA A LIL BIT BUT NOT ENOUGH. TEST ARE HARD BUT HE GRADES KIND OF EASY. HE TEACHES A UCF AND DOESNT HAVE OFFICE HOURS AT VCC. NOT THAT HELPFUL BUT WILL HELP. HE IS TO PHILOSOPHICAL ABOUT THE SUBJECT AND CONFUSES US IN RETURN.

I hated math until Tom came along. At first, I had a tough time with the material but my hard work paid off after spending hours after class doing homework and preparing for tests. They are everything he goes over in class. No surprises. His passion for math and his patience for those who struggle was greatly appreciated. He's great and cute too!!

Tom is a nice guy but I his class is tough. He doesn't go over the steps in the problems, he just writes it out and waits for you to ask questions. It can get confusing. The homework is optional and he gives partial credit on the tests, but his tests can be difficult. He doesn't give reviews so if you are not strong in math, find someone else.

AWESOME. AS FAR AS THE TESTS, YOU WILL GET CLOSE TO HALF CREDIT FOR JUST WRITING THE QUESTION THOUGH. HOWEVER, IF HE SEES THAT YOU MADE A GOOD ENOUGH EFFORT IN TRYING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, DESPITE THE ANSWER BEING WAY OFF, YOU STILL GET MOST OF THE POINTS.
