Comment:

This "professor" claims to know every CEO you can think of, which is up to you if you believe him or not. The class is okay, however he doesn't teach you anything that WILL be in the midterm, you'd have to simply read the book since his slides are confusing and very disorganized. Took this class because of the schedule.

Comment:

Definitely not an easy A class, you have to work for your grade. 1 midterm with some multiple choice and essay questions, finals thats all essay questions, and a 20 page marketing expansion plan. It was a once a week 2 hours class. His lectures are very engaging and interesting. Overall a great teacher with lots of experience in his hands!

445 with Hernandez is not a class you take for an easy A. The class consists of a multiple choice/essay midterm, a marketing plan up to 20 pages, and a final that is purely essay questions. His lectures are long but engaging. He is very helpful to his students and has led a very interesting life/career. Be sure to take good notes and ask questions

Comment:

Professor Hernandez is an excellent and knowledgeable professor. If you want to actually learn something then take his class. If you are looking for an easy A, then this is not the class for you. You have to study and work hard. The end result is worth it. I would say his class was a memorable experience in my student life.

The paper at the end was kind of the hardest part in this class, because you have to put in a lot of effort. But he is helping you out if you have some problems with it. Anyway his lectures are really interesting and you can learn a lot from his experience. Tests are ok if you study.

The class was more challenging than something I expected out of a Cal State. Honestly, the way he structure his class is very similar to law school classes. His final exam is a fact pattern even. It was hard to keep up,so you should read the chapters, & don't skip class- his lecture notes are needed for the exams, too. One big big paper, not bad.

Comment:

Extremely challenging class, but incredibly interesting. Tons of information, fast paced class, but you will truly understand the world of business transactions. Prof is a great teacher with tons of personal global experience and does a great job of keeping the class engaged.

Just because he's enthusiasticteller doesn't make him a good professor. 3 tests the first 2 are only worth 25 pts with the last worth 100 pts (same #of Qs as the 1st 2) Then a memo worth 50 pts but with no guidance or explicit reqs besides 20 pgs max. idk if its the prof or class but i'd never take either one again, i really disliked both.

Professor Hernandez is extremely enthusiastic and passionate about the subject. He makes lectures very interesting, and uses real life experience while teaching. Be prepared to read, Tests are challenging, and the Memo is not fun, but he curves big time at the end and the class is very rewarding!

I had him last semester. He got a lot of experience in international marketing. However, you may get lost in his stories. He require you to read the chapter before going to class. You may hate it but it is helpful. I got B+ for his class. One big project (15-20 pages). Oh, the good thing is he curves. I got B+ in this class.

I took his class on Fridays at 8am in the morning. I can't fall asleep in his class because he is NOT monotonic and VERY interesting. Many stories to tell; makes lessons very clear for comprehension. Read a chapter each week (your textbook is your savior). Exams are multiple-choice and short-essay questions. Very easy and clear. One of the best!

Professor Hernandez is simply an outstanding professor. He takes a very complex topic, international marketing, and breaks it down into an understandable format. I would take this class over again if I could. He is easily the best lecturer in the entire business dept. Be prepared to work, but also be prepared to be rewarded with knowledge! A+

Comment:

Overall great teacher to learn from. Requires your knowledge to be presented as participation. I'm not the type of person that likes to participate, but the on-call really prepared me for the test. His tests are MC w/ critical essay questions. And if you're taking him: "Minimize risk, maximize control." That's his ultimate marketing motto.

Overall a pretty good class. Hes interesting and makes the class entertaining. But not very helpful. Doesnt respond to emails & when reviewing for exams, he tells you to skip certain sections that ends up being on the test. Do urself a favor & just read over everything. Very bias on participation and on-call grade. Make sure he knows and likes you.

This professor honestly teaches because he wants to. He is very passionate and loves what he does. Take his class (even if it is at 8 AM on Fridays)! It is quite an interesting experience, one that you will not forget. 3 Tests -they get harder as the semester progresses, 1 15pg Memo (fun but it is still a challenge) and ALOT of CLASS Participation

His lectures are very lively and entertaining. I had him for a 8 am friday class and he was able to keep me awake. There is a 15 pg marketing memo you will have to write that will be worth a test grade. Test are multipe choice and several short essay questions.
