Do not take this professor he is all over the place and very scatter brained. Old school so he doesnt have power point slides or answer emails. He is nice and tries his best but not good for visual learners or those that need organization.

This professor did not use a textbook, he was all over the place with lecture, and did not provide proper protection gear when doing labs. He's very old school, so no blackboard usage at all and you keep track of your own grades. His lab assistant grades everything so he doesn't know the correct answers to the tests if you ask him... don't do it!!

IF I would have known not to take him I wouldn't. He is horrible, he is always off topic and the syllabus is out dated from like 2005, what he tells you to study is not on the exams or test. His labs are great but he is not a good professor at all. Will not take his class again!

Very professional, a College Prof, not a "high school teach" as so many CCC teachers are. Take the class, sign up quickly, you will do well, no D's or F's given!

Very knowledgeable and active professor. He repeats the important things many, many times. If his class is hard for you, you definitely are not going to do well in Nirsing/Med/PA or any other similar program. The sample questions he posts online are most to be found in the actual exam. Easy class if you pay attention in lecture/lab.

Do not take Preston!!! Unfortunately all the negative ratings are spot on. You study his notes and only 40 to 50% will be on the exam. If you can AVOID him!!

This class is tough to start with, but with Preston it was even harder. This guy didn't like answering questions, as he would wave your hand down to continue with his lecture. You take a million notes, and then the tests would come from left field. He gives extra credit essays, but nobody gets it bc it's too hard. He kicked us out of class once.

The course isn't easy at all but he allows you to record lectures(you'll need them) and gives a lot of hints to upcoming exams. Keeps lecture flowing with little jokes and awesome useful stories rarely wastes time or gets off topic. Offers little extra credit, but enough! Exams and quizzes straight forward. I loved him and the lab assignments!

Where most professors would give you a 'B' if you were at a 79%, he wouldn't. Despite showing him that I was trying diligently to get ahead, never missing a class, he still gave me a 'C.' He has no compassion at all. This guy is a 'by-the-book' kind of guy. DON'T TAKE HIM! HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR FUTURE!

Many students get accepted into professional programs, nursing, medical. Gives great references to professional schools. Very current, material directly relates to professional programs. I know that his students pass nursing programs 85%, while those from other CCC sites do poorly.

He does not care if you pass or fail and tell you weekly. 3 tests and they are all accumalative, which I have not seen at Tri-C yet even after taking both anatomy courses. Labs are hard because he does not explain well. 1/3 of the class dropped and rest had C's and below this semester. Do not take his class! He doesnt take student concerns serious.

Preston was AWESOME. He HARPED and REPEATED so so SO many things in Micro and LISTEN because those are the things you'll see on the tests! However, lecture is EXTREMELY scattered. Lab was awesome and interesting. If your lab partner is lazy, he might take pity and throw bonus points your way for having to picked up their slack!

VERY helpful, but scattered. He's tough to keep track of, because it is so much material. He tends to bounce around in lecture, but I'm fairly certain he lectures off of exam questions. So write down the things he repeats! He sends out sample questions, all of which have been on the actual exam, so use those! He's fun and easy in Lab!

Preston is an old school instructor. 40+ yrs at CCC. Very competent. Class is all lecture with some slides. Extra credit is avail. Take tons of notes, do not miss class, study old exams and you will do well. Earning an A is tough but a B or C is not. Tells funny stories 2 or 3 times. Many former students working in Cleve area. An interesting class.
