This professor was great! The class was awesome, discussion posts off of books or a movie. The class was always interesting and at the end of the semester you write a ten page report. I got an A. Take this class!

Comment:

Most powerful instructor if your going into law at ASU of any campus. Issues are relevant, he cares about everyone who shows their interest. This class is a must for POS majors. Have had 2 classes with Simmons work hard and get great grades. Make sure you have good group members, work hard yourself its worth it. No books. Handouts he provides.BEST!

Best class I ever took at ASU. So much work, but so worth it. Not going to lie, the interactive activities, documentaries, and readings changed my life. This is not an easy class, so if you're expecting an easy A forget it. But if you're passionate about justice and human rights, TAKE THIS CLASS!

Comment:

Best professor at ASU. Incredibly knowledgeable about human rights and the law in general. I coast by in every class I've ever taken, rarely buy books (of which Simmons does not require, just online readings), and I have never enjoyed a class nor worked as hard in Simmons' Law and Political Order. Recommend this to anyone. Just go learn from him.

He's the best professor at ASU West. He's a genius. If you're a political science student at West and you haven't taken a class with Simmons, you haven't really earned your degree. Take his class. It is challenging, you have to put a ton of time into his class, but you leave with so much knowledge. He's absolutely amazing.

Amazing teacher. He may be a little hard for some, and from what I heard from other students in the class that have taken upperlevel politcal science, he's harder than most high up courses for just POL 101. Yet even though it was harder than most he makes it easy if you just put work into it. Attendence + readings = success.
