Dropped out about 2 months into the semester because he was incredibly rude to me via Email. Hard to reason with, lacks empathy. My Academic supervisor saw the emails and agreed with me. He has so much seniority he can get away with anything.

He is quiet so sit near the front or you won't hear him. Write down the notes in class cause it's what the test will be over. The quizzes and tests are difficult and you have to actually study. This isn't an "easy A" gen ed class. After the first test, almost half of my class dropped. He gave 5% bonus on the final if you went to every class.

Dr. Bridges is a great teacher and gives 5 bonus points if you attend every class. Quizzes are easy if you read and the essays and annotated articles are not stressful though the articles may take a little bit of time

Dr. Bridges is such a wonderful professor. He teaches well and gives lots of examples to help you understand. For essays, he allows you to email it to him and he will give feedback before you actually submit it. As long as you come to class and show him you care by doing your work, you should get an A. He is very caring and wants you to do well!

Dr. Bridges is an amazing person with a great heart, but his lectures are really hard to follow. Quizzes are over nothing that he lectures over, just from the book, so you have to read. His wording really confuses me on everything. His tests and papers are not too difficult as long as you study and really put in the effort.

He cares about students and wants you to succeed, but he doesn't teach the material thoroughly and the tests are extremely difficult. Annotated articles and essays are the "easiest" grades you'll get, but he grades hard. A bonus is that at the end of the semester, if you have perfect attendance he gives you 5% of your grade back.

Not your average gen ed class. Bridges makes it way to hard, even for someone who is willing to put in work. This class should've been an easy A. After attending lectures and reading I still ended up with a B.

Dr. Bridges by far is one of the best professors I have ever had the honor of learning from. He is tough but fair. Most students drop his class for an easier one, but if you truly want to learn about philosophy and yourself, take Dr. Bridges while you can, he won't be at State forever.

Great professor if you go to class. Definitely possible to make an A or a B in his class, but you have to read the book and take notes during lecture (and go to class every day; he gives you almost half a letter grade if you just show up to class every day). Quizzes are difficult if you didn't read the book or take notes, tests aren't awful though.

Dr. Bridges is a one-of-a-kind! He is highly intelligent and holds several degrees as well speaks several languages. He is a man of many hats. He truly cares about his students and since many are freshman, he tries to give them solid advice in an indiscreet way about many things in life outside of Philosophy. He expects a lot from his students

If you don't like reading, I suggest you get used to it. He is very specific and precise about homework and assignments. The class is very heavy on lecture, so attend all classes and take notes in every class. As long as you show that you are trying and you communicate with him the class is easy to handle.

Be prepared to read read read. I would recommend getting the ebook, too so that you can search for terms and phrases. Saved my semester. Doesn't teach arguments directly for the philosophers. Get to know him, go to office hours, make an effort, and you can get an A if you really work for it.
