I had fun in his class! He cares about his students. He's realistic at times and gives guidance on how to break into the business, it's not going to be easy. He doesn't want his students to walk out of his class making YouTube videos, FILMS!

He has great enthusiasm. At times though, he can drone on for a bit (he is quite old and sometimes slow) and then suddenly change and become energetic which is jarring. He is a bit of a tough grader, but remember he grades on subjective film materials. He is all around a great Professor who has passion and is respected.

He can be slow at times, he's like at least 65+ years old. He's very eager to teach with a passion! You can learn a lot from him. He teaches you the basics of film production. A couple of exams (open-note) and make a short film. He wants you to make everything you make with pride and send it out to the world.

First of all, bring water to every class and maybe little snacks. Mr. Lisha can lecture endlessly! He's a pro at teaching this class, he offers great advice and guides you to learning the craft of filmmaking as CAREER NOT A HOBBY!!

He's been teaching for 40+ years and he looks like he's not ready to stop anytime soon. Zaki can be very engaging at times and some classes he just showed clips and called it a day. Zaki respects his students' work but wants us to care and make meaningful films. He doesn't give anyone special treatment.

I'm glad to have a teacher like Mr. Lisha. But his class is pretty dull at times. You don't get a clear sense on what your grade is, only by your exams. He lets you do what you want for your projects; GET DEPENDABLE PEOPLE!!!

Mr. Lisha is an old-fashion kind of teacher. For a directing class, he heavily lectures subject you feel like you don't really need to know as it doesn't help you direct actors. Take him, don't take him. I feel like some students just wanted to take advantage of reserving the best camera gear.

You'd think a Directing class is hard, his isn't. Lisha allows you to do what you want for your films as long as you follow his guidelines. Most of the time, people just make whatever. Not everyone is cut out to be a director.

I can't wait to take more from Professor Lisha! Sure I don't like his babble-one lectures but I love the Film Production side of him! He respects his students' work and ideas, he can be firm on the feedback, there's no-nonsense when it comes to his feedback. He's very helpful on any questions you ask him.

I admit, the class can be boring sometimes due to this everlasting lecturing, I don't hold it against him, I forget all about it when it comes to laying it down with the production side. He's very knowledgeable on that. I feel very grateful to have him as my teacher because he's the founder of the FTV department, he has incredible stories to share.

The class is only hard if you don't have dependable cast or crew. Avoid casting your friends or yourself in your films. He WANTS you to just DIRECT! He's very understandable when it comes to conflicts.

Zaki is the real gem. He's a great choice to take for this beginners film course. He's not a hard teacher, but he's very firm when it comes to talking about the "real world" aka the film industry. He respects his student's work and ideas, he would never call it stupid, he wants his students to fully develop their ideas.

He's a great teacher, especially if you want to be a director, he can be a "Yoda" like figure. Expect he seems to lecture and show clips of noble examples a little too much, that some people felt they didn't learn anything. Just because your taking a Directing class, doesn't mean your cut out to be Director.

He's a great choice to taking for Directing than any other teacher that teaches it. Expect he lectures more than anything else. Mr. Lisha doesn't BS when it comes to giving feedback to your project after a screening, all he wants his students know, if do they respect their work, even if they didn't shoot it on the best camera.

Its not a hard class, it can be a boring one. He makes me want to take FTV 50 with someone else. Due to his everlasting lecturing and barely seems to teach anything related to Directing. I feel like I'm taking 20 all over again. No one in the class seems to be that enthusiastic about their Projects, its not because of Mr. Lisha, its them.

A very nice and understanding teacher. He's funny sometimes. His lecturing can be a drag sometimes that I guess some people couldn't put up with and dropped the class. He's passionate about the material and ready to watch his students' work and giving helpful feedback.

Mr. Lisha is a very kind and good hearted teacher. He comes in to very class ready to teach with a passion. You expect a guy like him to come out as grumpy. His lecturing is not all that thrilling and goes on too long. He wants his students to work hard and respect their work, so have good crew members in your projects.

This guy has been great so far. But he seriously lectures too long and their a bit dry. One class he just lectured and showed some clips and called it a day. Projects are all group work and if you don't have committed and dependable people, it can affect you pretty badly and you don't get to make what you want.

He's definitely the one to take FTV 20 with, expect he lectures too much. Heck he went some classes just lecturing and showing clips and called it a day. Lisha wants his students to be great filmmakers, although he says that not everyone in the class can be the next Spielberg or anything. He's pretty firm on that.
