Easy class. We watch Breaking Bad series. The class decisions were intersting. Only got on on time 4 times the rest we got out at least 15 minutes early. There are quizzes daily as make sure you watch the eposides and show up for class and you will get an A. I highly recommend taking him!

Seriously, Dr. Gwyn is probably the easiest professor I've had so far. All we did in this liberal studies class was watch the TV series Breaking Bad, discuss it, and have daily quizzes on episodes. Mouth of a sailor. Entertaining. Not a single class where he did not let out early. Uncovential teaching style. Highly recommended!! Take his class!

In a nutshell, long on ego and short on teaching ability. Perhaps he fancies himself an Important Writer (I don't care for his stuff and don't know anyone who has heard of him outside the academic world, but whatever)and thinks teaching beneath him. Class is canceled/short often,he shows blatant favoritism,etc. If you care about writing skip him.

Very entertaining! He has a mouth on him like a retired Navy sailor, but I loved his class. Very amusing to listen to, very knowledgeable professor, and though his attendance grading is very, very strict, he's a pretty good guy. Recommended.

Gwynn is pretty much a dork who is impressed with himself. He's young, inexperienced in teaching, and should focus more on the actual material and literary theories than his own opinions. Regardless, his papers aren't hard and he gives you the questions to the final exam.

I love Dr. Gwyn! He is so nice and fun. His class is a lot of writing, but it is not difficult. If you want an easy class take it, but if you really want to learn to write fiction take it as well. He is willing and eager to help anyone who asks for it.

I took his class a while ago. He was a good professor. He knows what he's talking about, and he knows literature. However, I am a little concerned with how he favors certain students. he doesn't favor students based on the quality of work (most of their stories were not very good), but how "chummy" he was with them.

Great class, fiction writing assignments were frequent but short and fun. The book is really interesting and easy to read, but (this semester at least) he canceled the test on it. Interesting and helps a lot with writing. :)

I’m in his fiction class and he definitely has his favorites. Out of the entire class, he calls on ONLY three students. He’s a really nice guy but if you’re not a favorite dont expect him to call on you. He's not too good about returning assignments either. It’s almost spring break and I’ve only gotten two back from him. Other than that its great!

One of the most entertaining professors here. Though he's very opinionated and vocal, I found that he graded fairly even if he disagreed with you. He openly encouraged students with different opinions to speak up so that his weren't the only ones not being taught. Very helpful.

I don't know what you people are talking about. This guy is an amazing professor, undoubtedly one of the best I've had during my college career. He's engaging, funny, encouraging, and talented. He is arrogant and pompous, and he doesn't like women writers. He is rude in class and encourages rudeness and derogatory comments in others. He is always right about everything; your opinion doesn't matter, even in a workshop. It's an easy A if you can stand his macho, my-way-or-no-way, playing-favorites personality. He's hot but not worth it.

I had mixed feelings about the guy but in the end I came out liking him OK. He's a little pompous, but he's young. I didn't agree with a lot of his ideas about writing, but I still learned from him.He is also very encouraging.I liked him a lot better when I talked to him outside of class, when he wasn't trying to impress & entertain.
