Comment:

He was a great lecture professor! However he was not good for lab. Unclear with directions and you never know what to expect. An unnecessarily harsh grader and doesnt answer questions about the labs. Weirdly, his ecology lab ended up being one of my hardest classes. Definitely take him for lecture but take someone else for lab if you can.

Comment:

Youre grades on four exams, with one dropped. As long as you show up to class and take good notes, you will pass. Just make sure you spend time studying, as the exams come straight from the lecture. Dont bother trying to simply memorize everything, you need to understand the concepts if you want to pass the exams.

Comment:

Rossi knows what he's talking about and his tests are very straight forward from the lectures. Be aware that he lectures very fast and does not use any material other than a chalkboard. No powerpoints or reviews before tests. Textbook not needed at all.

Comment:

Dr. Rossi is a great lecturer and all the information you need comes straight from his notes so don't waste your money on a book. The only assignments for the whole class are four tests that were all pretty easy and one gets dropped. Could have done with less of his creationism bashing but an overall very good teacher.

Take Rossi!!! He is such an interesting guy and will keep you engaged throughout all of his lectures. Don't skip class because he only does hand written notes and does not use power points or canvas. His tests are very straight forward and you know what will be on them.

Amazing teacher who is very passionate about biology. Everything he says can and will be on a test so dont skip class. 10/10 would recommend. The best part is you dont need a book, I got by without it, but it cant hurt to have.

Rossi is a great professor. He is very knowledgeable about all of the topics he covers and even goes off on some tangents with other facts. His tests are directly from his notes/lectures so you need to take detailed notes. I even recommend voice recording his lectures. Overall, he is tough, but very interesting.

Comment:

Changed my major conc. because of him! Hand written notes with no canvas but he's so engaging it was hard to not stay focused. Must show up to class for notes. Would recommend recording too. Very nice guy and tests are based strictly on notes so you know exactly what to study. Gives lots of examples and clearly knows what he's taking about :D

Rossi was an amazing professor who really knew what he was teaching about. His tests were all multiple choice and were based directly from his notes. YOU MUST TAKE NOTES, there are no power points or handouts! His hand writing is also very hard to read so sit as close to the board as possible. You must study or you won't pass.

his tests are based entirely on the lectures (not any textbook), but thankfully his lectures are dope. I came in with a bunch of basic bio knowledge (5 on AP Bio exam), but still learned plenty from him, and wasnt bored by his lectures. i just think its funny whenever he starts talking about intelligent design bc he is vehemently against it lulul

One of the best professors I have ever had. The only negative is his handwriting. But he will admit its bad and has no problem repeating what he wrote if you ask. Best Lectures i've ever had.

Dr. Rossi is a wonderful lecturer. He makes it very clear that the tests are from the lectures, so bring a recorder, take good notes, and you'll be set. It takes work to get a good grade, but he's a fantastic teacher and very excited about the material. Very much enjoyed his class.

One of my favorite professors. Test come from his lectures, so you never have to read the textbook. He is extremely knowledgeable and makes the subject enjoyable, especially if biology is not your favorite. Take his class!

Only graded by 4 tests, which are difficult and based only on what he talks about in class so you need to show up. Specifically says not to use the book because it will only confuse us and he doesn't work from it. He's a cool dude and does his best to explain things in detail but often goes off on unrelated tangents with too much detail.

He's a great professor, he definitely knows his stuff. He is old school and writes on the chalkboard and the tests are based on his notes. I studied my really good notes and I could pass but was difficult to get high grades.

His class is based off notes entirely. If you don't take good notes you will not pass. I found his tests hard and studied a lot. Go to SI sessions!! He does know what he is talking about though. He speaks REALLY fast and his handwriting is awful.

Comment:

Professor Rossi is such an amazing teacher, the best lecturer I've had. His lectures are hilarious and he explains the material very clearly. You do need to attend class and take very good notes in order to pass, but all in all, 10/10 recommend.

I really enjoyed his class. He's friendly, really knows what he's talking about. He won't move on in the material if you don't understand and he's really helpful during office hours. Go to class because he gives little facts that do show up on the test. No book needed. No homework.
