Comment:
Dr. Fernandez has sarcastic characteristics in class, but he is super kind when you go see him during office hours. All the exam questions are from his lecture and slides, but the exam questions demand you to think meaning not straight forward. Also, Great prep for MCAT.

He has an accent but once you get used to it, his lectures are actually really interesting. He is really nice during office hours. His exams require that you memorize everything on his slides, even pictures. Go to class, start studying two weeks ahead of time, make sure you get the extra credit points in lab. Work hard and it'll pay off. Great man!

Exams test your understanding of the material rather than your ability to just memorize facts. If there's anything specific to memorize he emphasizes it in class. Make connections and learn the material. You are going to be future doctors and thats what you will have to do in real life. Stop crying.

Listen everyone, Anatomy & Physiology is a very hard coarse, you just need to study and memorize. I had him twice because I loved him. He is a brilliant man and as long as you take notes and memorize, you will do well. If you don't understand , just ask! He has an accent but you can understand him well.

Fernandez is a good teacher. He knows his stuff and he can be a little bit arrogant at times. Getting an A is very very difficult. Getting a is good, and you have to work for it. Majority of students get Cs or fail. You cannot slack off in this class! His exams are tricky. Talk to someone who has taken the course before you begin studying! GL

Horrible professor. I feel like I haven't learned anything from his class. He is only interested in playing jedi mind tricks and not in the concepts. Can't wait for the class to be over

Please do not listen to the negative reviews. He is a great professor, knows his stuff very well. In addition, he has a great personality. You can knock his door anytime and have a conversation about anything in the world. He is smart and funny. His tests might be tricky, but with proper preparation an easy A is highly possible.

He doesn't like to take the time answer students questions regarding the material for them to understand. His exams do not really match what was covered in lecture. He is a very inpatient professor who will not take the time to explain the material in his office hours because he thinks is goddam better than most of his students. Stay away from him

Great Professor. His exams are straight from his power points so make sure you understand them. Go through them in advance and be ready with your questions in class. Adapt your power points in a way that you can understand them and you can get A's but not without ALOT of studying. The program is hard but he will always help, you just have to ask.

He is a great professor. Obviously the people with bad reviews didn't take the time to study. By far my favorite professor I had. Very detailed and knows his stuff. Study his power points and you will do fine in all his classes. Very sarcastic and funny!

No clinical based exam questions. All based on memorizing slides word for word and not a true gauge of actual understanding or knowledge. Not at all helpful if you actually want to be a good doctor.

Yes, the tests are tricky. But I studied my butt off for the 2nd test and did MUCH better (F to A and no I didnt cheat)! I worked really , but I also learned alot. I'd much rather study for his tests than chem or pharm w Dr ****! He's funny and he emphasizes what you need to know. And I like not having to read the book!

Fernandez designs his test in a manner that makes you know the information inside and out. they are not impossible, and if you do good on them, it is guaranteed that you learned a lot in the class. He's sarcastic and funny once you get to know him, overall a great guy, just be prepared to work hard!

He might be a good teacher if you could understand him at all. Apprently learning English is not a prerquesite for teaching in America. No need to buy the book all of the material comes from slides.....which actually come from a text book from 1994......be ready to memorize everything....and it looks like those that do best cheat!
