1st he was like ask me anything, email me, ask for help; so naturally I do, big mistake. He has like multiple personalities and none wanted to help me or be nice. He acted like I am stupid (I'm an A student) My friends and I work on the LabReports together, so they are similar but she receives A and me B-. -major was physics, not anymore

Comment:

Dr. Davis is someone who is an excellent professor. He makes you work for it. Yes he has limited hours, but he always e-mailed me back when I needed. I also had him for P221 and P222 lab as well as discussion. It helped that I saw him so much during the week. Some people don't take advantage of the other lab class to ask questions.

Comment:

I took physics 2 with the lab section taught by Dr. Davis. Overall, I'd recommend taking it with Dr. Davis, as long as you are prepared for a few rough grades (or if you are just good at physics, don't worry about it). First grade I received was below a 75, next several in a row were above 95. He can be a bit intimidating, but he's easy going!

Terrible! During the first exam I literally saw 5 people start crying. The lectures are all over the place from gravity to spring tension to buoyancy. I received an F on the first lab report, because he did not like 2 aspects of the report. Never available, answered 2 emails out of the 5 sent. All and all pretty miserable. DONT take this class

Davis is an enthusiastic professor, and he is helpful if you go to office hours which aren't flexible. He won't make appointments, and he doesn't always answer emails. I did well in his class only due to the textbook. His lectures jump all over the place and hard to follow, but he is a good lab professor.

This professor was extremely disorganized and hopefully I never have him as a professor again. He doesn't use Oncourse to post your grades, so tracking your grades and assignments are impossible. He took weeks to grade tests and lab reports. I would not recommend this professor for anybody.

Professor Davis was not a bad teacher. He explained things fairly well and his tests were fair. We virtually never used the book. However he also does not put any grades up online, takes a long time to grade tests and typically wouldn't put materials like labs or discussions online until the night before.

This was my favorite class. His teaching style is one that many other profs could take a few lessons from. He kept the lessons intersting and seemed to go out of his way to make sure u undertood what you needed to do. Also Very liberal grading

One of the best prof's I've had. He makes Physics fun and interesting and NOT diffucult. Very helpful! Had a lot of fun.
