To put it simply, she's awesome. She's very knowledgeable, and it makes attending her lectures worthwhile. The course really makes you look at film more critically, and think more about race, abortion, etc. Just make sure you've got time in your schedule to watch a lot of movies (some that you may not like either) and do plenty of reading.

There is a lot of reading and movies but they are all pretty interesting. This class was okay and pretty easy if you go to class. If you go to class and listen you will pass the exams. She is a really good lecturer but I got bored sometimes.

This is an interesting class and Dr. Sadler takes it very seriously- the exams were much harder than I expected them to be. Know details for these exams, and make sure your papers are grammatically perfect. Do the work for the class and you should be okay, but don't expect this to be an easy A elective.

Dr. Sadler was one of my favorite professors. She gives a lot of discussion and lectures so make sure you go to class because it will help a lot on papers and tests. There are 2 exams, 2 papers, & one art project. The class was flexible. As long as you stay on top of your work and seek help from the TAs & her if needed you'll be fine.

Good at facilitating discussion, but was an extremely boring class. All she does is talk. Workload isn't too much but there is a lot of reading.

Doctor Sadler is an engaging professor whose teaching methods are so excellent you will actually want to go to class. Prepare to start thinking critically, and do not be shy to raise your hand. She really appreciates different viewpoints to keep the whole class open-minded. So far, she is my favorite professor, and this is my favorite class.

So far professor Saddler is the best teacher I have ever had. I am a junior and I wish I had taken more classes with her earlier in my schooling. I highly suggest any class she is teaching. She is very knowleged and has a great deal of passion for ethical standards and philosophy. If you go to class you'll do great, easy tests and minimal hw

A lot of reading, tough grader. When I sought direction, I still wasn't clear on how I could improve or what I wasn't doing right. I'm by far a lazy student, and I still found this courseprofessor difficult

I Hated this class with a burning passion. I fell asleep in it almost every day (she didnt really care). She never cared about her students (every time someone raised their hand, she would often ignore them completely. She never responded to my email. To sum up this review in a few words: DO NOT TAKE THIS INSTRUCTOR FOR ANY CLASS.

Awesome professor. If you have a chance to take her do not miss the opportunity. She will open your mind to issues you have never considered. She is intelligent, witty, and sophisticated. Expects a lot but gives a lot...

Very intelligent and motivating. She is not an easy grader but easily approachable. She is very passionate and it shows. Not a class to skip reading or to BS you way through though. Thought-provoking and insightful professor

To answer the question on most minds, yes she is a tough professor, but she's also fair. If you're looking for a class in which you can put off the readings until the day before the exams, then this is not the class for you. The amount of effort you put into the class will produce the grade. 2 exams and 2 papers. I managed to get a hard earned A.

I must admit I became slighty obssessed with her. At first she seems very unapproachable but if you make yourself known to her she really begins to loosen up. She has given me awesome recommendation letters. Work load is alot of reading and you must attend lectures to clarify the readings. Test are pretty hard but essay don't require that much.

She is passionate about the material and is very tough. Most parts of the lectures are boring. DO NOT TAKE if you don't like philosophy. Your only grade is 2 tests & 2 long essays. I found her hard for an entry-level course. Wouldn't take her again.

If you are a Philosophy Major, you don't have a choice. However, I am a Mechanical Engineering major, and I was interested in Philosophy, so I took this class. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. Do not take this class unless you are a Philosophy major. The teacher isn't bad, there's just a lot to read
