You will lose your aeo if you take it with hammond. Terrible professor, class materials are not relevant to final. Easy mid term but final is irrelevant to material taught in class. Can not teach, students should write to dean to re-evaluate the quality of professors on main campus

Does not test on the same material as in lectures. Lectures are equivalent to watching a 10 minute youtube video on the topic. Additionally, he leaves out content that other econ classes will learn (of course you will be tested even if he leaves them out.) Also refuses to answer most questions (figure it out yourself).

It's easy to get a good grade if you know what to do. I went to 2 lectures in his class the entire year, ended up with a 92. You just have to make notes from the textbook and study them, and use Bruce's ppts for reference (i never did). There are a couple question banks online that the econ profs use for exams and if you do those enough, youre good

His lectures were not helpful and the final exam was ridiculously hard! Other profs provided slides with detailed information to their students while bruce hammond only put a few graphs on his slides. My friend is currently retaking Econ1021 and you know what, most of the people from that class were from bruce hammond's class last semester.

Lets just say his lectures are a perfect example of diminishing marginal utility and my grade perfectly resembled an economies of scale graph.

I had Hammond for Micro in fall term 2016 and Macro in winter term 2017. I thought he was a good prof and was able to get good marks in both classes. However, after a year, it looks like that has all changed as I was reading all the comments for the fall 2017 micro term. Just goes to show how classes/profs can differ year to year. Just be careful

What can I say except for the fact that his disgrace of a professor told his students that he's going to intentionally make the average between 65-68. Most unreasonable prof who expects you to teach 3/4 of the material yourself seriously go f yourself Bruce

Funny thing that everyone is complaining about him this year. I definitely agree based on my experience in first year; he is indeed heartless and does not care about his students.

I regret coming to Western because of this man. Not only is he an awful teacher but he is a terrible person. We pay all this money to get an education, we put endless ours of studying in and no matter how hard you try, you will not do well because he purposely wants his students to fail. Because of him, I now have a negative outlook on western.

For the final exam I read the entire textbook, did all suggested problems, went over the first two exams completely, and all in all probably spent 30 hours studying. All of that was for nothing as the final exam was insane and unfair, and it seems like Bruce doesn't want anyone in his course to do well. Would recommend switching out of his class.
