Bryan was an amazing professor! He expects a lot, so if you're a slacker this isn't the class for you. But if you do the reading and participate in class then you will learn SO much. He is flexible and understanding when I needed an extension or extra help. He cares about the subject and tries to make it fun. I wish he taught another Anthro class!

I LOVE Bryan! Quite possibly one of the top 3 professors I've ever had (and I've had a lot)! He's so respectful to all of his students, understanding, easy to listen to, and is very down to earth. I had to take this class as a pre-req to my major, but I turned out really enjoying it because of him!

This class was HARD. There is a TON of unrealistic reading and long videos to watch... The professor seems nice and enthusiastic about the material. The test were SUPER HARD. The quizzes were hard as well. The final study guide was a joke. 6 pages full of packed content for there only to be a few questions on the final...

Bryan is a good guy, but awful professor. He clearly states at the beginning of the semester that you should read the textbook 3 times through. This is unrealistic unless it's the only class you are taking. His quiz's are very specific and the tests are next to impossible. It was the hardest B+ I've ever worked for. Would never take his class again

This class was very difficult, Bryan is a good professor and cares about the subject, but he treats the class like he thinks its the only one you are taking that semester. If you want to get an A from him, never miss class and memorize both the textbook and his lectures.

There are a lot of tags that I would tag Bryan in if I could. He really is a great teacher. It is a lot of reading and you have to put in effort to understand concepts. But really he will put in just as much effort to see you succeed if you are putting in effort and go to him for help. Great teacher.

I took his online class as an elective and regretted taking it by the end. The information is interesting but he is a tough grader. His tests were hard and very confusing.

He gives quizzes that are hard to understand . The midterm and the final are a joke. The questions are twisted in such a way to just confuse you. (which I think is his main goal). You will love the class and hate it at the end. Most of my classmates agreed with me on this. Good luck, you will need it!

Take this class! Bryan is the man! Do the reading and the assignments and study for midterm and final and you'll be fine. 1st half is linguistics, which might be difficult for some, but he explains it well. Work on your language creation project throughout the semester. Great class! I loved class discussions and he includes everyone. Take it!

Before you take any of his classe you should have a masters in English. He cares more about your grammar than your content. He doesn't make very clear points, and he tests on things that he doesn't teach, and arent in the books. Nice man but perhaps not the best teacher.

(Language & Culture)This class was great. Be patient through the linguistics and the culture part is awesome! Be warned: you will only get an "A" if you earn it completely. Read everything asked of you and do the workbook assignments. Brian's hilarious and extremely fair. Very fun class. Highly recommended.
