I bought the textbook, but you SHOULDN'T. He gives all the information needed for quizzes and discussion posts so reading the textbook is not necessary. This class was overall pretty easy.

Make sure to READ the critiques he leaves on your work because once I didn't and I made the same mistakes in my writing the next week and he took multiple points off. The online class was easy and can be completed in one sitting in about 3 hours.

Professor Mulford really knows how to teach an online class well. It was easy and you could keep Blackboard open while you took the online tests, but I also genuinely learned from the combo of tests, discussions, and papers. I constantly knew how I was doing in the class and found Professor Mulford to be respectful and clear always!

Comment:

Super easy. I took both American Art and Contemporary Art online taught by him. There's a quiz once a week (and you get 2 attempts just in case your first grade was bad) and you also are allowed 2 late quizzes for the semester. His online lectures are slideshows that are easy to remember with key points. I barely used the textbooks.

Great professor, excellent! Online, contemp. art is just weird IMO. So called political artists, bark like a dog & bite people don't belong in a museum. Not difficult if you do the work, but there is a ton. Ea. week read a ch. plus 12 slides, discussions, reply, & quizzes alternating discussions every week. Couldn't wait to get it over with.

Professor Mulford is a great professor. This was my first art class ever and he made it a great one! He is very clear on what he wants on his weekly assignments and gives valuable feed back! Short quizzes every week. Would 100% take him again!

The course is pretty easy. Every other week a thread of one paragraph on a video or artwork and a paragraph reply to a classmate. On opposing weeks a 20 sentence art criticism and paragraph reply to a classmate (which got annoying) Also, weekly guizzes. Not a creative class. He takes off many points (like -5 at a time) for silly things like grammar

Taking him online, very easy class. discussion, quiz and journal each week but he gives notes on exactly whats on the quiz. SO EASY. reccommend taking him if you can.

AWESOME ONLINE CLASS!!!! Discussion, assignment, and quiz due each week. Maybe 3 hours / week spent on it. If you dont make an A in this class then you are a worthless Bum!

I've only had 2 classes with Professor Mulford but so far i think i feel very comfortable in his class and I am discovering some hiddent talent i never knew i had in me. I hope to get out of this class that I can be creative and have fun with art instead of worrying about how my art work comes out each time.

Very laid back and easy-going. He finds something positive in each student's work. Easy grader, judges not on talent but on effort.
