I had Prof. Berg for 2 courses and I have to say, he is one of the best professors I've had in my 8 semesters of college. I wasn't an RTF major, but he really evoked a passion for film in me and genuinely helped me find my path in the world and shape my career, and he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I love this guy!

Ramirez Berg is hands-down my favorite professor at UT. He cares so much about what he teaches as well as his students. He's a great lecturer: he teaches a lot of material but makes it fun and interesting. A few easy tests (he offers lots of extra credit) and writing assignments. If you get the chance to take a class with him, don't pass it up!

Professor Ramirez Berg is one of the most genuine professors I have ever had! He's really nice, understanding, and can be pretty funny. His class is fairly easy as long as you show up to lecture. If you show up to lecture and screenings then his test is really easy. There's only 3 writing assignments (SUPER DUPER EASY) as well as tests.

One of my all-time favorite professors! I'm so excited to take his 1960-present film history class after such a great experience in 321D. He is the nicest, most genuine soul ever paired with the fact he is incredibly knowledgable and his insights are inspirational. He came up to me before class one day just to chat and learn about me as a student.

One of the greatest professors I've had in college. His exams are there to only make sure you understand the material and if you go to lectures you should be fine. Theres 2-3 writing assignments which are also easy.

Charles is an awesome professor who genuinely cares about his students and is truly passionate about both film and teaching. I took History of Film with him and was surprised and impressed that he took what I fully expected to be a boring course and made it fun and interesting. I highly recommend taking as many of his courses as you can!

This professor was awesome! Loved every second of class, and I'm not a RTF major! He really made concepts easy and never threw any curve balls into tests. What he covered in class was exactly what he went over in tests. Great guy!

He's the best professor at UT. He is so passionate about film, and it shows through the way he teaches. He stayed for every movie screening, which is rare. Usually film profs show up to pop in the DVD and then take off, but he stays because he genuinely loves film. He got Robert Rodriguez to visit our class at the end of the semester... enough said

I'm not an RTF major and took it for fun. It was a little hard to conceptualize, but interesting. Some of the old films were really boring and I didn't always see what he was trying to explain. Maybe I just don't have an eye for film.

Best teacher I have ever had. Knowledgeable, funny, and eager to share his view on the world of film with his students. It has been more than fifteen years since I had a class with Professor Berg, yet he is the only one of my college profs who made any of my acknowledgement lists in one of my books (HOLLYWOOD DEATH SCENES) - Corey Mitchell
