Comment:

I took his class and it was fun. Even though we had to walk outside and get knee deep in water I felt that It was better than being in class all day. I don't think he liked me cause I slacked off. He gave me another chance to do extra credit and taught me on the weekend. He went the extra mile to teach people differently and give everyone a chance.

Comment:

One of the few professors that still knows how to make a class entertaining. You can expect to be taught how to learn as much as what to learn, meaning you dont only sit around and listen to lectures but have opportunities to actually have fun in class such as going on nature walks. Very friendly and knowledgeable, we need more teachers like him

Craig was great! I really enjoyed his class and he gave so many opportunities for extra credit. Definitely recommend to take his class, although attendance isnt mandatory I would suggest not missing because he gives a lot of little points on assignments that you cant make up outside of class.

He's hands down the best professor I've encountered at Harper. He gives you plenty of opportunities to raise your grade, is passionate about what he teaches and teaches beyond the classroom. LOVED his class and would recommend taking him if you have the chance to!

Comment:

Craig is really awesome. Probably the best college professor I ever had. He is passionate about the environment and it shows during class. Don't let this fool you the class is really tricky but he gives you a TON of extra credit, making it almost impossible to not pass with a C or higher. The Lab exams are definitely hard tho.

Craig took over my class midway through the semester and, honestly, saved mine and others grades. He breaks down the material really well and tests on that very material, not random stuff that wasn't discussed in class.

Mr. Stettner is the best professor I've ever had! He knows what he's talking about and never reads from a powerpoint. During lectures he writes a lot of notes and diagrams on the board for you to copy. Lab exercises come straight from the textbook, and the information in the chapters is often on exams. 300ish points of EC available. Approachable

Craig is such an awesome teacher. The content isnt easy to begin with but he makes it better! He cares 150% about his students that is for sure. Kind of nerdy but in the best way - take him you wont regret it!!!

Comment:

Zoology was the best course I've taken so far across 3 different colleges. It wasn't difficult to pass at all, was extremely interesting & the classroom is loaded with specimens. Craig is an amazing professor and just a pleasant person to be around in general. Dress for the weather, as you should be prepared for outdoor excursions at any time!

I love Craig! His zoology class was really interesting and he's so adorable in a sweet nerdy way. Honestly he's my favorite teacher I've ever had! I just love his personality, however, His class was extremely hard for me. I ended up getting a C and they was a miracle. The tests where you had to identify species by their scientific names were horrid

Professor Stettner has a wide variety of knowledge about species from fish, plants, animals, etc. He takes the time to explain important concepts and is approachable by office hours or email if you have issues. If you are not the best at science or not a good student, there is more than enough extra credit to keep your grade in good standing.

Craig is amazing. At first you'll find him quirky and different but he grows on you. I made the mistake of missing lecture a lot and that really affected my grade because EACH lecture he grades and gives points for participation. He does offer A LOT of extra credit and his discussions are outdoor and super hands on. We did a lot, good experience

Craig is my absolute favorite teacher of all time, I have taken zoology and man & environment with him and I am going on his field bio class to Costa Rica this winter. Zoology means a lot of memorizing but he gives a ton of extra credit on the tests and in the class in general so it is easy to do well. Man & environment was the easiest class ever.

Hands down my favorite Biology professor! Would recommend!!! You get a lot of extra credit and its just an overall fun class. You go outside for most of your labs. Craig is so understanding!!! Everyone loves the guy!

Craig is AMAZING!!! He's a really cool guy and knows what he's talking about. There are 4 tests total, which are hard, but he gives over 100pts extra credit so it's like one bad test didn't happen. It's Man & ENVIRONMENT so you do go out almost everyday but I loved it. It was so fun and interactive. Great teacher who's passionate and cares

I took this class during the summer, we went outside almost every single day to walk along the lake, in the woods,& sometimes to do some very messy &gross activities. Going to class & outside earns you participation pts. He is not very good at conveying material in class so you NEED to read the book to do well on exams. There is LOTS of memorizing.

Craig is an awesome teacher! You can really tell he is passionate about what he teaches. Also the class is a bit hard (10+ exams) but there is so much extra credit you can still pass with a good grade. You also do go outside a lot but it's a lot of fun! This was my Favorite class & professor and I wish I could take it again.
