Comment:
This guy is as dry as a dog biscuit. He drones on for 50 minutes about his political ideology and shows a slideshow that is way too broad to help you. I wouldnt take this guy again for money. Tests are 70% of your grade and theres only 3.

He really doesn't add to much to the material unlike other economic professors I have had in the past which actively engage with their students in a fun yet informative way. You would be better off given a list of what you need to know and then researching it yourself online; that would be preferable to actually taking the class.

Nonsense expectations like "discussion posts must be 'triple tweets' (420 characters)" instead of simply saying "be brief". When expectations are met, you may still be given a bad grade with no feedback. This demonstrates little concern for student success. Only emails back if you send several emails. He then gives short, cynical responses. Avoid.

Microeconomics wasn't a very hard class. He is very repetitive in what he says in class. He takes attendance every class period and expects the class to participate when he lectures. Just go along with it lol. There is a lot of Aplia homework, which is very time consuming. Tests are hard, the average is usually a low C, but I ended up with an A.

Learned a lot in the class. Material was interesting and Teacher was very informative. Tests were very hard and grading was very hard. Only two people made an A on the first exam. Everyone else made C, D or F. Grades were like that for every exam. I am sure many did not pass!

Do the extra problems at the end of each aplia chapter and you should be okay. Will have to study but pay attention in class and it will help. Takes attendance every day and will have study sessions when asked.

He is a great teacher and tries to make class fun and entertaining. Most people find Economics difficult, but if you pay attention in class it's very simple. Any question you ask he will answer.

Marburger is my dude. He connects with students on a great level, if you know what I mean. He helps throughout class and even after in his office hours. Tests aren't to hard

Dr. Marburger is an extremely intelligent professor. He can be really sarcastic, but that keeps the class funny and interesting. Keep all hand-outs...they basically set you up for the test questions. The textbook was barely used. Take good notes. He teaches the stuff well, and his enthusiasm is refreshing.

It was a descent class. My only B for the semester. You do NOT need to buy the textbook, but will have to purchase the Aplia package. He is interesting most of the time, but it is still an interesting teaching style that is not understandable by everyone.

Dr. Marburger is by far the most intelligent professor I've had the privilege of having at ASU. It's very clear that he loves the subject, and he relays the information to the students in a clear and understandable manner. If you have the opportunity to take him, DO IT! He's amazing!

I had Dr. Marburger last semester and I thought his class challenging, but he was always available for help and really cares about his students. He is fair and you get what you deserve for the effort you put into class. I would recommend him if you are struggling to understand econ.

In my opinion, Dr. Marburger is one of the best professors at ASU. He extremely knowledgeable in his field, and makes what would be a dull subject enjoyable. If you're looking for a blow-off, don't take him. However, if you are actually willing to learn and do the work involved, you'll be just fine. I would definitely recommend him.

Ok a "hard teacher" or "hard material" is one thing that I can deal with, but this guy is a TOTAL JERK. He could care less about students and about teaching. Just another worthless tenured PhD who doesn't give a flip except about his paycheck

The most useless teacher I've ever taken. Somehow I had a B in Aplia, and a B on the exam I didn't drop. So I take the final, which was like a week after the second exam, with nothing on it that he actually told us to study for and I wound up with a D average. His class is a joke.

The only person that knew what they were talkin about was the last person that said Marburger is a horrible teacher. He is unclear and doesnt go over anything. He is no help at all and I strongly advise you not take him, he is a horrible teacher and not to nice of a person. He might be the most boring professor on the ASU campus
