Dr. Ford is a pretty great professor, in my opinion. I took his physiology course, knowing that the material on the exams would be a little difficult, but honestly as long as you pay attention and read the book, it's definitely manageable.

I think he is a nice guy, but not a good teacher. He doesn't explain concepts in detail and asks questions on exams that are above the level of what we were expected to know for this course. His human physio class and med physio class are basically the same thing. As sophomores, we aren't ready for a med physio course that is taken during P1 year.

Ford's physiology is notoriously difficult. This will undoubtedly be one of the hardest classes you take as an undergrad. That being said, it isn't impossible. His mastery quizzes force you to stay on top of your studies, which is good because if you attempt to cram, you will fail. Lectures are relatively straightforward, exams are very in-depth

He was the worst teach I have ever had. He does not come to class prepared, he just draws random pictures that he will quickly erase to draw another worthless picture. He gave no notes, study guides, or powerpoints. He did not make his own tests, he just got them from some website so half the time he had no idea what was on them.

He was a good professor but he goes over stuff pretty quick in lecture. He printed off pictures from the book and said basically what the book said and makes little side notes.

I had the experience of taking Weck for Physio and Ford for Adv. Physio. Ford was a better professor in teaching in my opinion. I listened to every lecture. Whatever he drew out on paper was useful info to write down. He required you to read for the quizzes. The exams, however, reflected what was taught in lecture.

Read the book, he goes to fast in lecture and erases stuff really quickly. He tests you over things he doesn't go over, even details that are not in the book. The class lacks a notebook which would be helpful to organize the information better. He does respond quickly to questions, but a pretty hard grader.

Funny guy, but the exams are hard. Puts questions on the exams that are not in the outcomes sometimes. Quizzes are not fun since you have to read a lot of material that takes up a lot of time before the quiz.

Dr. Ford does try to make the class interesting. He often appears unorganized and unprepared, which makes taking notes difficult. A little more clarity and organization would make the class a lot easier.

Dr. Ford does an excellent job at teaching. His tests could follow the outcomes a little bit better, and the book is completely worthless. Watch the videos he posts online. They are actually quite helpful.

Physiology is a hard class no matter who teaches, but I think Dr. Ford does an ok job. His tests were not that hard for me, but his notes posted on WebCT were worthless. Just read the online textbook and try to take down the high points during lecture. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK AT THE BOOKSTORE.
