Very dry, very monotone, very boring. She never caught my attention or drew me in during class, and that's not really a good thing from someone whose job is to engage their audience and drive the points home. I'm sure her fieldwork and research are amazing, but as far as being a professor, she's not that good or interesting.

I took ANT 315 in the summer as a hybrid, so it was more accelerated than usual. AWESOME professor! Easy grader if you put in the effort, she has amazing stories and will keep your attention. The fieldwork project was very fun but start in advance. I took this class along with another and it was manageable, definitely would recommend.

She is a great professor. Actually enjoyable. Great grading. She is very knowledgeable on her skill and material. She is funny and kind of concrete in her own way with herself. If you need a quick Gen Ed or something you can take her and her class you'll be fine! There's a paper due almost every week but nothing major, there's a lot of reading also

This professor really impressed me. She is so geeked out for anthropology that she really knows her stuff. You can tell its her life because she is passionate. Had quite a bit of writing a reading to do, and some really strong assignments such as the fieldwork that all helped me learn a lot. Points are easy to earn if you do the work.

Comparative Religions needed to be condensed down so what she taught turned out to be oversimplified which made it somewhat offensive, especially in regard to Judaism. She needs to take some refresher courses in religion because history changes & it isn't something that is set in stone, and it definitely wasn't set by anthropologists in the 1800s.

Her expectations are anything but clear. Her class was completely unstructured. Explains most of her terminology in the native terminology... which is extremely difficult to follow. Tests aren't hard though. You will read a ton and only actually need some of it. Vague paper instructions... vague project expectations. Vague. Vague. Vague.

Professor is probably the funniest professor I have. Her class isn't particularly difficult, and she's very engaging so that helps to get through the lectures. She is very passionate on the subject she teaches, so that's awesome. Overall a good teacher.

Being an anthropology major, I am so glad that my first anthropology class was with Dr. Weibel. She is very knowledgable in her field, funny, respectful, and engaging with the students. She is an inspiration and I was very fortunate to have been able to have taken her class.

Professor Weibel keeps class interesting and the material is not difficult. We get review sheets before the exams which basically give a general idea of what to expect. Also there are some short reading quizzes (5 points) that you can pass by just reading the intro. Take this class, you will learn a lot and it's not too much work.

Loved this class and professor!! I would take it again if I could. Professor Weibel is super helpful in office hours, and the class material is interesting. The fieldwork project is also really fun and eye opening, definitely my favorite part of the class. She doesn't grade too harshly, either.

This professor was a complete joke. Her class was insanely easy, but made no sense. She contradicted herself from week to week, and when a question was asked she would get offended. DO NOT TAKE HER, UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET ANNOYED. Her projects are so badly written and constructed that it was able to be written the night before.

Loved, loved this class. The readings were usually pretty interesting. We had to read a particular book, but many of us didn't read it, and quite a bit of info was in the slides she puts on blackboard. She's enthusiastic in her lectures, has a good sense of humor, and is willing to answer questions. The fieldwork project is fun to do.

She was a wonderful Professor. As a freshman this class seemed like it was going to be too hard. It has been great to expand my knowledge of religion. I had a lot of fun learning in the classroom atmosphere she created. I would recommend her to anyone!! Great Gen. Ed.

This class was not that difficult as long as you do the reading. As soon as you start getting behind on that your grades will start slipping. She is a nice prof but tended to go on tangents during her lessons. There are not many opportunities for points to be careful of what you miss in class.

This is my Favorite prof at GV! Really approachable prof and wants to help. She is so smart and funny, and she has a great passion for teaching anthropology. She is especially knowledgable in the religion area. She is not really a hard grader either but make sure that you are prepared for the exams and the paper because they take alot of work. Read!
