Boisvert is an amazing teacher- lets just say that Queer Christianity changed my entire perspective on religion. I can apply what I learnt in his class to almost all of my elective and required courses. Boisvert is a tough marker, and gives a lot of reading. Be prepared to participate in class and think outside the box. Boisvert loves that.

Donald is amazing. I took both Religion & Sexuality and Religion & the Body with him. He's passionate & really funny! His assignments are quite creative (not essays, which I really liked) and although his grading can seem a bit arbitrary he's open to you asking him to re-evaluate the grade. Participate & try to get him to know who you are.

Super engaged with the material and the class. Obviously very enthusiastic about his subject. His manner of grading is a bit opaque, and, to be honest, somewhat arbitrary, which usually annoys me, but in this case I didn't have a problem. If you like the subject, you will do well. Not recommended if you're just looking for an easy A.

Very engaging prof and a very good listener. Don't rely on papers and exams to get a good mark in his class. This prof rewards students who are enthusiastic about the material and participate in discussions. If you love to learn you will have a great time (and get a great mark, too!)

it is hard. very interesting but hard. i knew the material but he is a hard marker. u need to participate because that's how u'll get good grades. you should still take it. not a lot of work at all but the work u do is graded unfairly.

Amazing teacher. Really knows what he's talking about. Not sure how to get an A with him, and assignments can be a little iffy. Doesn't necessarily rely on text book. Super nice guy, extremely interesting and knowledgeable.

I'm not one to rate teachers based on my emotional response, nor is this some kind of attack but I feel the need to warn others. I think Boisvert is a poor listener, and perhaps a little too comfortable with his full-time status, resulting in carelessness that negatively affects the students. He's a hard marker without a rubric to back anything up.

I've taken a few classes with Dr. B and he's amazing! Loooooove him. You need to go in with an open mind and a desire to learn but if you do, you'll ace the class. His lectures are fascinating, his book choices are superb and his grading is fair, including an upped grade if you are active in class. He brings sexy back to learning.
