He is Very helpful when you ask for the help. BUT YOU CANNOT WIN WITH HIM!!! He is such a tough grader hardest English class I have taken. I had to with drawl because it was so hard to keep up with all the homework he assigned super fast paced class for being a semester long.

Comment:

Very caring and understanding teacher. He will try his best to make sure you pass but ultimately its up to you. Kind of a tough grader and offers extra credit in the beginning. Lots of out of office time and sets up lots of opportunities to help you. Pretty entertaining and fun.

Comment:

Excellent teacher, but I wouldn't take again. Tough grader. Let's the students choose by majority how their work is done, but this backfires later on in the class when he says " You guys picked this". As the teacher, why wouldn't he just pick the assignments for you? He knows better, but maybe he didn't want to hurt so hard. Take someone else.

LOVED his 104 class! It's a very fast paced course but homework is fairly easy as long as you read. The material is extremely interesting because you analyze them from a literary POV. For example, rather than reading a novel and writing an essay about it, you write an essay about someone's critic of it and argue whether or not they did a good job.

Comment:

English has never been my favorite subject (to put it lightly) but Professor Eisner makes it extremely interesting and fun to read about, particularly the fact that he gives historical context to what we read in class. He gives great feedback on papers and has helped me grow as a writer.

English was my least and worst favorite subject in H.S! My first College English class was with Professor Eisner and there is so many great things to say about this man. He made English class very fun. Yeah FUN! I'd say he's one of the best. Very helpful!! Eisner is the man!! Funny weird sense of humor but very humble guy. Wish he taught ENGL 100.

A lot of reading involved. It's a fast paced class, so if you procrastinate, good luck. He's a great teacher but at times his prompts are difficult to understand so ask questions! There are in-class essays, out-of-class essays, synthesis quizzes, and quizzes on the book you read. Overall, great teacher but would recommend to not miss a class.

Horrible! Sends very sassy emails, and is generally a sass-master. Barely touches the surface of topics yet grades very harshly. He is not open to different interpretations. Would not recommend him honestly.

Professor Eisner is a good teacher. His class was actually kind of diffIcult. The only way to really succeed in his class is to GO TO HIS OFFICE FOR HELP. Don't just say "screw it" and turn in a paper. See him for every paper and you'll do fine. Also, show up to every class, he will drop you if you miss more than 4 (I think it's 4) class periods.

Grades essays harshly! Do the extra credit and you'll be fine! Make sure to attend class or else he will drop you! He purges for attendance! Do the assigned readings it is very imporTANT! Dr. Eisener is an excellent teacher. His class is great for learning solid writing mechanics. He is tough on citation, but once you're done citation should be second nature to you. Whether or not you're an English major I would recommend Professor Eisner. I enjoyed his class and learned a lot.

He is a friendly and funny guy but he grades his essays very hard. Also he does not accept late work at all no matter what the reason is.
