Prof. Bentley makes everything is easy to understand. He gives 4-5 tests and the final is split for 2 parts. A sample test is given a week before an actual test, and they are very very similar. Everything he teaches in 161/162 you'll need in Calc1! So make notes if you are planning take calculus. My notes from his classes helped me a lot in MTH264

Fantastic. Grade is based on test grades only. Final replaces lowest test grade. Gives homework but does not grade it. Gives sample tests given for a little extra credit. Will always break down any question to the simplest form if needed. Tough class but he will give you all the tools to succeed. "You're in college. Buy a stapler."

Such an easy going professor. Gives homework every night but it is only for you to practice. Graded homework is all due the day before each chapter test. Theres always time for questions and he makes sure you really understand the material. Sample tests count for extra credit.

great teacher and very concise teacher. Show up, learn the lesson for the day, leave. there's always a 1on1 chance at the end of class (as time usually permits) if u need a clearer understanding. his lessons are great so show up to stay on track. Your grade made up of only 3/4 exams with some extra credit options, you can get an A if you study

After being away from school for so many years and math being the fear factor for returning to school, I thank God that he was my professor that started me on road back to math. GREAT TEACHING METHOD!! I've had other teachers for the math classes I needed after his, although I passed the classes, I cannot wait to have him for precal!!

Great teacher! Take lots of notes! Homework is not graded, they're for practice, but do them anyway it helps. He gives sample tests that are like the real tests. Your grade is based on 5 tests and a final. Final is cumulative. No calculators allowed for most subjects. I struggle with math but Professor Bentley made it possible. You will pass!

Mr. Bentley grades his class based on the average of the 4 best scores between 4 tests and a final. Attendance and homework are not graded. In class he breaks it down easily with simple problems. He has sample tests available before each test that have more difficult problems and tests are similarly difficult with problems not covered in class.

In addition to the previous message: if you can't do a long multiplication by hand (like 444x6) maybe you should go and finish a middle school first before complaining that calculators aren't allowed to use during the tests. He gives sample tests before actual test. And the final exam is made up of 4 tests given during semester.

Prof. Bentley is a great instructor. He tells to class EVERYTHING what you need to do or know to pass the class. To fail his class you must be either REALLY DUMB or just not listening him at all. Yes he doesn't allow the calculators on the test, but if you can't do a long multiplication by hand (like 444x6) maybe you should go

He DOESN'T let you use calculators on the tests and gives you the hardest numbers and fractions and expects you to be able to do it in your head. Your grade is made from the average of FOUR tests and a final. If you ask for help he answers so rudely that you never want to ask him anything again. If your terrible at math don't take this professor.

I like Professor Bentley. He tells you exactly what to expect. Just do homework and go through sample test before the actual test and you'll be fine. The attendance policy is not that strict, but it's in your own interest to attend classes. Some parts of the textbook may be confusing, but he clears it up.

Homework is not mandatory so all you are graded on are the tests, but you should do the homework anyway becuase he takes his questions straight from the book and test reviews. Never a boring lecture. Is always willing to help you. Only extra credit are bonus questions on tests and doing the review tests. No calculators allowed tho.

Hes a great teacher. Definitely gives homework but doesnt check it. If you do the work, youll pass the class. Grades are only tests but thats because I only had him for 50mins. Not sure how his longer classes go. I would recommend to anyone who struggles with math as his lectures are clear and easy to understand.

Mr. Bentley is an outstanding Professor! He clearly knows Math inside and out and breaks it down so that it's easily retainable. I wish he taught every Math class! He does not allow calculators which actually helps you out in the long run. Do the work and ask questions and you will pass his class and know the information. He is also Hilarious!

Amazing teacher, funny and definitely knows his stuff. If you put in the time, do the homework and ask questions when you are lost, you will pass his class. I took calculus 1 with him and I plan to take him throught my math courses at TCC. Would recommend him to everyone that needs calculus.

He's the best math teacher I've ever had. I highly appreciate his lectures and respect him for trying to help us understand a lot of misinformation HS math has taught us. As much as I enjoy his lectures, his tests are just crippling to me (but that's because I'm horrible at math). I may or may not pass depending on my final, but I still recommend.

Definitely knows his stuff, good professor overall. Assigns homework from the book and lectures using the book as a guide. He doesn't check homework, it's up to you do it or not. Does NOT let you use a calculator on the test. Gives sample tests a week before the actual tests and will answer questions. If you don't do the homework you won't pass
