Comment:

Professor Shiraev gives such compelling lectures. What he talks about is interesting and gives more information than just what's on the board. His tests are all open book and if you're lucky, he lets you take them home. He answers emails every morning and is available to help his students truly succeed. I really respect professor Shiraev.

Comment:

Dr. Shireav is one of the best professors I've ever had! He makes his lectures and discussions very enjoyable. The tests were open note and the class before the test he usually went over the study guide (which already has half of the answers). the textbook helps with some questions on the test but you don't need to buy it.

Prof. Shiraev is a wonderful person who can not only teach you about psychology, but also about how to become a better "you". He is so knowledgeable and caring. I have taken two psychology courses with him and really enjoyed his lectures. Exams are easy if you have your study guide all ready. All the material needed for test is covered in lecture.

I took him for PSY 200 and I only had 4 take-home tests. easiest and most chill prof I've ever had. now I'm taking him for Developmental psy and we just had our open computer test. awesome prof def take him.

Easy A. Graded on 4 open note & book exams; you can literally print off his slides, attendance for extra credit. His lectures are long & uninteresting, he basically has conversations with himself as he reads off his ppt slides. Would not recommend if you actually want to learn anything about psychology, it's just about regurgitating for tests.

I took him for summer and he has 4 exams all open notes. he does an extra credit paper and also you get points for just attending class. He is an easy A and I would definitely recommend to take him.

Easy A prof. Seems nervous when lecturing and has a tic of looking down a lot. Super sweet guy. Took PSY230 6 weeks-4 exams, open note for us, gives detailed study guides for each. Textbook used but found online. Attendance for extra credit. Paper for extra credit but didn't need it. Amazing person and easy class: take him!!!

Professor Shiraev is a good at knowing his psychology! Most of his exams are take-home!!!! (But it might change in the future, but you never know!) I recommend taking him! ALSO he does extra credit!

Professor Eric is a very intelligent and nice man. He has a ton of useful information to offer the class making every lecture very interesting. I look forward to attend his class every week bc the topics that we cover are very interesting. He offers four exams worth 25 points each all open notes or take home exams. Totally worth taking his class!

This professor is wonderful! This class is a very easy A. There is no homework, but one extra credit. You also have 4 open note exams and 2 were take home. I recommend this professor to everyone!

All his tests are open note & open book (I never used the book) but some students needed to. Class is graded on 4 exams, 25 points each 100 total points. EC for attendance. Does talk a lot and sometimes about one topic for almost all of class but is an easy A if you put in some effort. Prof Shiraev is a #gem

If you just want an easy A, this is a perfect professor. I expected more about this class, more participation, and dynamic class but it is a class where the professor just talks about himself and about his slides looking at the floor. The topics are interesting but the class is not. The tests are open book and you can take extra credit.

Lectures were detailed and he posted the slides online. Extra credit for attendance and 1 extra credit assignment. 4 tests, all open note. We had 2 take home tests. Has a break halfway through so we can stretch, eat a snack, use the bathroom. Take his class, you won't regret it.

He babbles too much. Not talks BABBLES! He has issues getting to the point. His nonsensical and irrelevant babbling takes him 5 minutes to discuss one simple point. First session was also him talking aaall about himself. From where he was born to all the places hes worked at (with pictures!) Dont take him if you want a straight to the point prof

this dude is literally the best psy professor at nova, i been taking him for so many different psy classes because i am a psy major, his class are the easiest A ever. attendence is extra credit, miss 3 classes you dont get the extra credit, there are only 4 tests and sometimes he lets you do them at home and oh yeah, tests are open note

Dr. Eric was super nice and caring. All the tests were take home- no homework, but you have study guides to complete for the test (I never needed them). Final not cumulative (takehome). His lectures were interesting but can get too long sometimes. He is super passionate about the subject and very educated. I loved his class!
