Comment:
Fr. Bosco's class is highly enjoyable. The books are interesting, and the class discussion is absorbing. The grading is quite easy; however there is a LOT of reading and writing. Be ready to read a novel every week and write over 60 pages of reflection and analysis throughout the semester. He will cook for you, though and takes interest in students

Comment:
Fr. Bosco's class is lecture heavy, and focused more on providing a survey of Catholic literature than spending too much time on each work. This can be frustrating given the amount of reading and the lack of class discussion on them, but it works. His papers are pointed responses, so be sure to come to class and take notes. He's energetic and fun!

Fr. Bosco is so great. Like, he's perfect. Aside from his wonderful looks, he's so passionate, hilarious, warm & knowledgable. Learn his lingo in the first few classes (sacramentality, aesthetic spirituality, the Catholic imagination, Flannery) and you'll be set. You'll also learn a ton without even realizing it. Class goes by so quickly with him.

Bosco is okay. Class will really bore you to death sometimes but can be very insightful as well. Pushes Catholic ideas a lot cuz...hes a priest? Readings can be interesting and paper topics weren't so bad. Very attainable A. Fun to talk to as well

If you go to Rome for Summer Session make sure you take Theo 180 with Fr. B! You will see Rome in a way that wouldn't otherwise be possible! He is very passionate about sharing his love for Rome with his students and you will get a TON out of it! Last day of class was a "pilgrimage" to his 3 favorite gelato places throughout the city. Very helpful!

This class was very easy and interesting to learn about, especially if you have gone through some of the sacraments. There were a few papers, but he is an easy grader. Quizzes make up the rest of your grade and they are purely off of the lecture notes. Kind of liberal for a Catholic theology class, but interesting nonetheless.

Not an easy A but not a very difficult class either. Attendance is mandatory & there are no if's, and's or but's about it. He likes participation. Extremely helpful when asked. Movie choices are weird but a relief from the lecture. Makes it interesting and doesn't push Catholicism onto you. Waited 3 years to take this class & it was worth it

Bosco is a good professor. However, there is simply too much work to justify a 100-level core class. You have to write four 4-6 page papers and read quite a bit. Isn't tough on grading (study for the quizzes, though). Can be quite funny and there were some quality discussion in class. You also watch a few movies, which you have to write papers on.

A fair amount of readings.. Seven papers assigned but you only have to do four. Lectures are interesting and watch a decent amount of movies. He's a funny guy and the classes fly by. Quizzes are easy BUT he also teaches english so he grades kinda hard on the papers!

Bosco is a great guy, although he assigned too many papers for his sacraments class at the rome center. he cancelled the final though which was nice. learned a lot from him and he really enjoys what he's doing. he likes to use movies to reinforce material which makes the class more enjoyable. i definitely recommend him

Not too bad of a prof. although he is a little passive aggressive to people who don't agree with his point of view. The class really isn't hard as long as you're sure to write with mainstream catholic beliefs. Snazzy enough dresser, although I wish he'd put more thought in whether or not his assignments actually reflect the sacraments.

Very nice guy, very willing to help.Class requires a good deal of writing for a 100 level that isn't WI but ultimately it's not a big deal. No final exam just a paper along with 5 papers on 5 of 7 sacraments and a couple simple quizzes.Totally worth taking Fr.Bosco for his interesting class and easy grade.

Okay, I'll admit I was warm for his form too (God be praised!), but more importantly, he's smart, personable, funny, a little forgetful, and he makes the subject interesting (even if you're not Catholic). He makes time for his students and takes our ideas seriously. I just wish he'd wear clerics so we could remember he's a priest - hands off!
