Comment:
Frank is very caring and really wants you to understand the material. In the beginning the class might seem difficult because you have to juggle homework, quizzes, labs and projects. But after the last lab it will get better because you have projects to focus on. Quizzes are not bad just make sure you understand the material and use correct vocab.

Professor Friedman is nice man who cares for you. You'll have to work - read the textbook, study for quizes, and stay on top of the assignments. Do this, you will succeed. The projects aren't too bad, half are individual and half are group. It's a great class, and you will become a better programmer as a result of it.

Frank is a smart guy, but an awful professor. He expects that you have learned more in other classes prior to his course that you haven't. He doesn't teach in class, and occasionally goes off on rants during class. The class material isn't too difficult but you will have to learn on your own.

Frank does not know how to teach. He expects you to learn on your own while he teaches about pointless subjects in class which will not assist you in your programming. His projects take a lot of work.

-If you have an option to choose another prof. go for it(SERIOUSLY) if not then ready to spend everyday (7 days) 2 hrs. for READING BOOK and PPT,TUTORIAL,BE AWARE OF MIDTERM (40% of final Grade,Open book but that doesn't help) -Before the semester start please go through previous class note of programming. -Most time spend on lab & Project

Does not know how to teach. Told us on the first day that he's heard students say that and he thinks they should be teaching themselves anyway. Tests are long and tough (even though you can use your notes). Labs are time consuming but helpful BUT don't count for much of your Grade, which is unfortunate. I highly regret taking his class

This class is pretty much different companies and temple staff coming in doing presentation about their company or temple staffs talking about building resume, internships and etc. The class can get pretty boring when the presenter is not interesting. Make sure you are there on time because he takes attendance very seriously. Easy class though.

200 person lecture and he takes attendance way too seriously even though he puts the lecture online. Doesn't teach the class anything. Every single class is a guest speaker representing their company. The TA makes the homework and grades it, very easy. I was the one of maybe 5 girls in the class.

Really hard. If you take this class you will work your butt off the whole semester, but it is totally worth it. You have to read a lot of the book and figure out your own solutions to big projects, but if you put the time into this class you will really learn vb. I have weeks where I put in 0 hours and weeks where I put in 12 hours of programming.

Nice as long as you don't get on his bad side. Once you do he holds a grudge and will always assume the worst from you. As far as the work goes you have to design a ATM project using Visual Basic and he will only go over the diagram and design during class. He Does not teach code logic. But you will learn how the java compiler works.

He doesn't really like black students. He will ruthlessly call you out if your not doing well in his class and he will definitely suggest that you drop. My strong suggestion to all of you--> Go to EVERY CLASS, HAND IN EVERY HOMEWORK, EVERY LAB, AND TAKE EVERY QUIZ/TEST and you will DEFINITELY pass. If not, you won't be graduating on time lol. GD LC

Nice guy but he got stuck teaching a terrible class. Projects and tests are easy enough, not very challenging though. The lab is positively worthless and the TAs are boneheads.

his classes may be boring, but the notes help. all tests are open book/open note, they really aren't that bad. the labs kind of suck, but he tries to help you the best he can. always there to help whenever it's needed.
