Shes fine and the class is interesting, but she has a very dull way of presenting the information. If you have to take it with her then youll be okay, but try to take it with someone else. She gets the information across and as long as you listen, take notes, and study youll do fine. She just makes the class kind of boring when it shouldnt be.

Quizzes from textbook chapters are annoyingly frequent. You learn a lot but she is definitely harder than the other PY220 teachers. Don't let that scare you though she gives study guides to the quizzes. Makes you print out power points with fill in blank notes. GO TO CLASS and you should be fine

I was really looking forward to this class, but she kind of ruined it for me. I really enjoyed the information, but she doesn't show a lot of emotion when she talks so it's hard to follow along. VERY tough grader. I was planning on taking another class with her next semester, but after this class I changed my mind. Sweet lady, eh professor.

Dr. Overbey was absolutely awful. All of our exams were AT LEAST 60 questions, but they were multiple choice. She never uses questions such as "What is the definition of ....?" The questions are always going to be real life situations. There is a quiz every single day in class, and if there isn't a quiz, there is a graded in-class activity.

Worse professor I have had so far! Expects us to take quizzes over material we haven't learned yet. Overall she is pretty arrogant and rude. Also she says you can email her with questions or to set up appointment with her but she never responds. Maybe its just me but I would never recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Overbey is a great professor, but it's clear that she expects a lot out of her students. Be prepared to actually try in any of her classes and don't skip unless it's absolutely necessary. While she is a stickler for rules, she actually cares about her student and is always willing to help and give feedback when needed.

Dr. Overbey really knows her information she lectures on. If you have a question and she isn't sure she will research the answer. You must read outside of class to keep up with all the weekly quizzes. I learned a lot from her in every class I take with her. Invest in a planner to help keep all the due dates organized! She will NOT round up grades!

I have had Dr. Overbey twice now, be prepared for A LOT of reading in order to keep up with the information and weekly quizzes. I learned more from her classes than I have from any other course. You have to come to class everyday and fill out the notes to keep up with the course.

Overbey is a really good teacher and has a lot of experience teaching this class. The best advice I can give you is: don't miss class unless you absolutely have to, don't forget your clicker, and always do the study guides she provides.

This course was interesting and fun to take. Dr. Overbey made things easy to understand and gave assignments that covered the material well. There are quizzes almost every day so you have to show up and you must read your text book and pay attention to her study guides if you want to pass. All in all a great course.

I really enjoyed this class. Dr. Overbey does an good job of making material clear and emphasizes what points are important for exams. However, this course requires a lot of reading, so be ready to dedicate a good chunk of your time. There are quizzes once a week. Refer to the study guides she posts and you'll be fine. Also grades tough on papers.

Easily the worst professor I've had here. She is picky to a fault, and will take points off for not putting your assignment in the right side of your assignment folder. Her tests take forever and you will not complete it in the time allotted. She is probably a nice person, but as a teacher she is not helpful and is condescending. Do not take her!

Dr. Overbey is a great teacher; however, her tests are wordy and difficult to finish in the time period available. She is more than willing to explain any concepts that are fuzzy or unclear. There are quite a few quizzes; however, they are very easy if you study the study guides provided and read the chapters. She allows 20 bonus points.

So, she gives a writing few assignments throughout the year. She is a very tough grader. You have to have near perfect grammar and spelling to get a good grade. She gives many in class quizzes, which you can get an A on if you study. Her tests are all multiple choice and challenging. She is very good at explaining the material.

If you make an appointment with Dr. Overbey, she is extremely willing to help. However, that is not seen very often in the classroom. Her tests are extremely long, often times leading to students being unable to finish them. Also, her lectures are lengthy. Many times homework and quizzes happen before we finished the chapter at hand.

Good teacher. She explains everything well. She grades hard on papers so if you are a bad writer take it to the writing lab. Test are phrased tricky, the questions are examples not word for word definition. You need to understand the material. She does give extra credit. Quizzes come from book study guides.

Horrible professor. Very strict grader! I thought she was rude and arrogant. She will encourage you to come to her for help, but when you do she does not help at all. Avoid this professor if possible.
