Comment:
Prof Crisanti is really not that bad. He gives out practice problems that are similar to the exams with answer keys. I recommend doing the practice problems & not relying on the textbook. His PPTs are extremely helpful when reviewing conceptual problems for the exams. He does make cringy jokes, but overall is a decent professor willing to help you

you need to know what you're doing. if you took AP chem then you'll be ok, but other than that good luck. for some reason he refers to everyone as "Steve" or "doctor" and doesn't learn anyone's name. his class is super easy to skip as he doesn't take attendance and all of the powerpoint are online, but I suggest going because chem is actually hard

This man is awful... He isn't around outside of class and refuses to give any type of review for the tests. The tests are insanel hard and heavy weight. The homework that is online has nothing to do with what we learn in class. This course was BS. My friends with other professors have had pleasan expierences. This guy is a sell out joke has been.

He was the worst teacher I have ever had. He was impossible to get a hold of outside of class and didn't have office hours because he wasn't "required to". If you ask a question he will make you feel stupid and not explain it a different way if you don't get it right away. Studied and got help outside of class and still didn't do well on on tests.

I don't know how anybody could have the ability to pass this class with Crisanti teaching it. He has an extreme lack of ability in both his teaching and his joke material. He attempts to connect with the student but ignores that fact that he really should be teaching the class. You must be an officially registered chemist to pass the class.

The man rather makes extremely cringy, and unfunny jokes about his life than actually teaching, he skips slides between days and refuses to explain problems before exams. His teaching style consists of shouting, and going off on tangents rather than actually teaching the students how to do problems.

Professor Crisanti does not respond to emails and is only a part time professor so he is EXTREMELY difficult to get help from outside of class. He reads word for word from power points made by the textbook company and does not explain concepts well. Be prepared to teach yourself everything and make a study group ASAP.

Comment:
His classes are pretty boring because he just reads off the powerpoint slides but when he does examples of problems in class he explains them very well. Before each test he lets the class ask him questions about problems that were on the homework or on the online quizzes. Tests are easy if you do the homework and quizzes.

Doesn't like to do extra problems and just complains about the slides most of the class. He does give a lot of partial credit on exams, so write down literally anything on a question you don't get. He's very unorganized and not very helpful. Homework gets 10 attempts per question and quizzes get 4 attempts each and are both online, grade booster

He's very easy with tests cause whatever is on his powerpoints (which you are given) will be on the test and the final is literally all of his tests combined into one with different numbers.

He's a nice guy and all but his lectures are so random and hard to follow. Make sure you get the textbook because youre gonna teach yourself 60% of the class. His tests are straightforward but you have to study outside of class with the textbook-his powerpoints are too vague. Online quizzes really boost your grade too.

Crisanti's hard to follow in lecture, he talks to his class, doesn't really teach it. It all would be fine if his powerpoint were easier to follow and he was around for help (adjunct). Worked really hard to pass, chem is hard enough as is. You'll be fine if you took AP in high school, otherwise, good luck. Overall a great guy though.

Professor Crisanti was a decent professor. He tried to be funny, but sometimes I almost fell asleep. The online quizzes were a grade booster and he allowed multiple attempts to get the highest grade. He wasn't very clear with what would be on the tests, but if you studied, it would be okay. Helped to take AP Chem beforehand.

He can blindside people with his exams because some of the questions are more difficult than the example questions. He can be really funny but sometimes he doesn't explain things well.

Professor Crisanti at first was not my cup of tea. I did not like his teaching style but you kinda have to adapt to it. He gives SOME problems in class but your are really kinda teaching yourself from textbook/workbook. His tests are all open ended which means you really need to know your stuff. Final wasnt too bad just an accumulation of all exams

Professor Crisanti was a scary guy at first, but he really just wants the best for his students. Chemistry is a tough subject to teach, so I don't blame the grade I got on him. He was available for questions whenever I needed help and his teaching was going over problems that would be on the test with students. Very straightforward and not rude.

Honestly, this class was easy in the beginning, but got tough towards the middle of the semester. I think a lot of it had to do with the powerpoints being very confusing and unclear. When he did not use them, he was a much better professor. Use the workbook to teach yourself and ask questions. Great guy, very funny.
