Mr. Oldham is a hoot, yet very old school. He is very open to different views, and embraces creativity. He wants you to think and write about what you have passion in. He is very respectful. A must take for someone who enjoys humor and dwelling in creativity.

Awesome teacher. He gives great lectures. He answers questions & he wants you to do well. He swears occasionally. Get ready to read something you wrote to the class. I would take him again.

Professor Oldham is one of the most entertaining teachers I have ever taken. The class was an easy A, and I enjoyed the feedback I received on my papers. I was already a decent writer, but the class helped me improve. He is very respectful to the students in his class. He is good at getting students to participate. I love his humor!

Great teacher! He is funny,and the class was fairly easy, but I still learned a lot. He allows unlimited redos on papers. Don't buy the books (Little Seagull and Curious Writer). He referenced the Little Seagull book twice, and never even mentioned the other book, it's not worth your money.

I took WR 121 and before this writing class i hated WR. He made me learn for the first time in a WR class. He makes you do in-class logs which you get to learn how to write by writing down your life so it makes it interesting. his humor adds to the amazing class. WOW great teacher.

Honestly my favorite professor at Chemeketa so far. I loved his WR121 class so much I made sure and took his 122. Both are quite easy. He allows flexible deadlines, late work and redos. He is funny, and gave us donuts on the day of the final!

Although it's true that he has a good sense of humor and is very lenient with late assignments, I found him to border on unprofessional and ultimately felt I had wasted my time. He cusses, often talks about his life as he was a stand up comedian doing a self depreciating monologue, and has a hard time staying on topic. Don't forget, this costs mone

Excellent HUMAN teacher. Treats you like a real person. very simple assignments. Very generous in his allowance of late work, retake, redo, re everything. you literally can fail every assignment and just fix the things he tells you to fix and get an A. I loved this class. He does not go much from the book. There are a few reading assignments though

Mr. Oldham is a definite take!You will undoubtedly have a blast in his class and you can't wait to go back. Two hours feels like 15 minutes. The conversations always go a bit off topic which can get annoying, but they make you laugh. Mostly sticks to syllabus. Really wants to focus on vocabulary! Wish I could take him next term! Go Mr. Oldham!
