Comment:

Very thorough, tests go over what we learn in class and she doesn't purposefully make them difficult. I feel like she cares about us passing and wants us to succeed. We have a few take home tests, which help to raise our grade, gives extra credit, and let's us drop our lowest grade, meaning we can skip the final if we're doing good enough.

Comment:

She is very straight and to the point. It is helpful to highlight in the book during lecture, most of what she says and puts on the test comes straight from the it. Highlighting makes it a lot easier to study for her tests, use that as your study guide. She does not take attendance, but her lectures are definetly helpful for the tests.

if you make a low test score she will make an appointment to speak with you BUT WILL ONLY go over with what you missed she will not offer NO EXTRA work work and if you happen to ask again she will say AT THIS POINT there is nothing she can do like how messed up is that never will recommend her

Comment:

She tests more on the A&P than the word definitions, but she goes over everything and is pretty fair. She uses a high school grading system (93-100 A, 85-92 B, etc) and that sucks. Would have gotten an A if she used a regular grading system, but overall good teacher who will work with you if you have to miss a test or something.

Professor Allen made it extremely easy to break down medical terms. You always know what's expected on the tests and if you have questions, she is always available.

Mrs. Allen is not the best teacher I've ever had. She has no personality making it very hard to connect with her, and she is very monotone. She does give you the terms needed to study for the test but it's just not terms. There are all kinds of required things to learn for the tests like: A&P, procedures, terms, different diseases, etc.

She drops the lowest test grade & the final is the same weight as any other test. Don't miss a test day b/c she does not allow make ups. She has no personality but thats b/c she has SO MUCH info to cover. If you study even a little you should pass this class. Tests are straight from the book; gives extra credit after the midterm & from then on.

DON'T take this class ONLINE!Take her lecture class. The Goods: She tells you exactly what to study for and what definitions to know. She is also very helpful in explaining things. The Bad: There really isn't any. Just know the words she gives you and you will pass.
