Great class, great professor. Only homework is reading articles she posts which are interesting. Class is very participation heavy (not mandatory) which is nice bc its not just lecturing. Shes very intelligent and does a good job of encouraging discussion and keeping things relevant. Definitely take this class/prof, you wont regret it! :D

Dr. Ballinger is awesome! Her class had a lot of reading and short responses (250 words), but they were all for the most part interesting. She has a great personality and is very passionate about the class! Would definitely recommend.

Attendance isn't mandatory, but what's covered in class shows up on the midterm and final. Plus, her lectures are fun and hilarious. There is reading which you should do, but she often cancels her quizzes. Just review her lecture slides before the midterm and final and you should definitely pass.

She's a lot of fun. there's a lot of reading, but it's interesting reading so not soo bad. two reaction papers and a midterm and final. but she does an excellent job of making this class really interesting.
