i love this woman. so helpful and wants you to do well! shes very lenient with deadlines but make sure to give her a heads up. such an easy class but you definitely have to attend to do well.

Although attendance is not mandatory, you would be missing a great deal of information missing class. Class is formatted in looking at slides. 3 exams, 12 papers due (simple 1 page papers on a costume book u read) and drawings after each period. Janet Sussman is a wonderful professor who actually cares about her students. Take time to talk with her

History of Costume class was pretty interesting. Words of advice go to every class it will make tests so much easier. All you need to do is memorize what each piece of clothing is that she describes. Very easy class first A I ever got in college! Always available for extra help.

Don't even buy the textbooks, we NEVER used them. When you write your script analysis, be VERY thorough; make clear why you made the choices that you did. Find someone to share paint/brushes with, the paint supplies ran me over $50. Janet is nice, let us out early a lot. Easy but boring class, I would have died of boredom w/o my iTouch. Got a B

If you go to class you're going to get an A on every exam. Very clear, and interesting, though I admit I fell asleep a few times in class, it's just cause she shuts the lights off!
