Comment:

He is smart and knows sociology well, however his class structure, the way he organizes the material, is horrible. Extremely difficult to follow along, lectures jump frequently. The final exam is then cumulative on everything... the problem is everything is based off his own theories and VERY abstract. More of a philosophy class.

Comment:

Not too difficult, just show up and take the notes. The exam was okay if well prepared for it (attendance for verbose notes and details). Very nice person. although it seemed nobody interacted in class according some people below, if you talk to him after class you can much about learn much about sociology, politics etc. It's not kindergarten...

The prof. certainly knows his stuff. The lectures are a bit too long and boring but the material is interesting. His french accent is completely understandable if you're form QC. If not then you may have some trouble understanding him. The work load is realistic and if you manage your time efficiently you should do well.

I do not recommend this prof due to the fact that his accent is extremely distracting. This is not a way to insult him, but a simple fact. He seems to be passionate about his teachings, however, he seems to add in words that do not exist or that others may not understand in the context he is using. Correlation with readings will be difficult.

wow took his class two semesters ago and honestly, what a waste of my money, his expectations are way out there.. 5 short critical essays and then read a 400 page book ontop of the course pack and critique the book in 4 different aspects.. wow too much work for****ty grades! too much work for an elective course.

Only gives A+, B+, C+, D & F. Nothing in between & makes that clear on Day 1. Good lecturer who knows his stuff but his accent can take getting used to. Very hard exams, seemingly out of left field. Nice person generally though.

Easiest class ever! Too easy if you do the readings!! He is the teacher to take if you want to increase your GPA! I had my only A+ and I was not even in sociology!

Very hard marker and If you want to fail, he's the man to fail you. The first class he tells you that if you really try hard, you can get a C in the course. What motivation for a person trying to get A's. Lectures are very boring and not understandable
