Comment:

Took during a short summer session. If you read the material you will pass the class. The tests were a composition of the quizzes so if you could pass the quiz you can pass the test. The discussions were thought provoking and he provided a response if you needed to add additional information for a chance to increase the grade. Overall great class.

Comment:

Gives a guaranteed Test curve every time! You don't have to pay attention to the lectures. However, just READ READ READ the chapters you are being tested on. It's really simple! Test are moderately easy!

Comment:

I enjoy nothing about politics what so ever. However, Dr. T, though he required a bit much for a gen ed course, I enjoyed his course. I took this as an ecore short session. Not an easy A class. He does make u work for your grade, which in a weird way helped me to enjoy the course. There is a quiz for every lesson, a midterm and a cumulative final.

Comment:

Dr. T is a very funny and down to earth. He has a lot of knowledge that he can share in his lectures, but unfortunately, his lectures do not help you with his tests at all! He picks the smallest detail from every chapter of the book for his tests, making them very difficult. Had it not been for the curves, I would not have left with an A.

He is a very nice man, but he lectures the whole class. My class is at least an hour and ten minutes. He lectures about a chapter and we have a test the next day about it. At first, I struggled, because I don't learn by lectures (without a power point). I was making 70's on his tests, BUT finally I adjusted. His lectures became interesting, sorta.

Awesome professor. He brings the textbook to life. Recommend reading chapter prior to attending class he summarizes them for you but for test purposes you will need to read. Attendance recommended even after midterms. Map Test are easy A's if you study

dr. traachtenberg is a great proffessor especially if you communicate with him he definately tries to help you and will work with you especially visiting him in office hours he is very helpful i made a B+ and I will definately take his class again he has a wonderful sense of humor also

Incredibly knowledgeable instructor that delivers excellent lectures and asks for peoples thoughts. Curve on tests are very good. Reading is required and tests are very long.

DR. T was a pleasant teacher. He removed questions for test if 75% or more of the class missed it. He holds true to his word. If he says this will happen on this day..it always did. Available via telephone and/or email. Attentive to his student educational needs.

This was an easy online course. All grades were from 3 tests for the whole semester, so you have to study and know the info, as there are no additional assignments. He answers any questions via email in a timely manner and curves the grades nicely! I ended up with an A!

Great person. Very nice and helpful. Class is graded only on tests but he does give a very nice curve. Unless you learn from only test taking don't take the course. I personally struggle in classes that are test based only so I am just hoping that I pass so I don't have to retake the course.

This was a mandatory class for me and I am happy I took Prof. Tractenburgs online class. It was perfect, just keep up with the reading and following his study guide and you'll do fine. He also response very quickly to emails and posts grades the same day.

Great Online course. I have no interest in gov't but he made it bearable. All I had to do was read the chapters and show up for the tests. the tests were kind of tricky, but overall if you read the chapters it was pretty easy... He grades on a very gracious curve... Great class for someone who doesn't have a lot of time!!!

Dr. Tractenberg's online class was perfect. I learned alot and understood the topic by the end of the semester. His exams forced you to really think and analyze topics effected political science. Give him what he asks for and you will be ok.

Took this course during the summer. I remember a lot of reading and nothing else. The test were a bit tricky but pretty ok, if reading 6-7 chapters per exam is easy. Did allow for a curve if no one made a 100, gave everyone the points it took to get the highest grade to a 100.

I had DR T for summer online course.. I will admit, it IS a lot to read but if you are willing to put in some time and effort -- you will succeed. Im have ZERO interest in POLS and all that jazz but I came out with an A. He does grade on a curve [a very generous curve] and over all is an AMAZING professor! MUST TAKE.

I took the online course. A ton of reading!! I had an A all the way to the end then got a B for the course. It was so sad. Great course though and he is phenomenal! And yes he grades on a curve. Study notes help greatly!

The online class is pretty hardcore. You seriously have to study like a week in advance for the tests, but if you memorize the 6 or 7 chapters for the test, you'll do fair. He does curve, but only because everyone does pretty bad. I managed an A, but it was alot of work.
