Comment:
Horrible teacher. His teaching is nearly impossible to folllow: powerpoints are messy, he constantly uses a very academic language which confuses the entire class and his explanations or answers to the class' questions risk confusing people even more. The material looks interesting and simple, but he tends to make it dry and complex.

really boring, repetitive lectures; going to class isn't even that necessary. its annoying how your grade is based solely on 2 multiple choice exams. i wouldn't recommend this class unless you love the study of demographics...

He is extremely lazy. He has 2 multiple choice exams both worth 50%, the second one is cumulative. The material is dry, he is a bad lecturer, and always late. It always feels like he would rather be anywhere else besides a classroom.

some academics are meant to be researchers and not teachers. the problem is even if he wants to help you and even if he has good intentions, at the end of the day, he still makes insensitive comments, and for those who don't pick it up, it's probably bc you are so busy learning the material that all the politically incorrect things that come out of

really nice prof wants people to pass, but the stats assignments are so annoying to do, he really cannot teach that well. everyone is always confused.. I basically had to focus on knowing the book to understand all concepts, because he was not able to facilitate understanding of the concepts.. but overall easy class do the effort and pass

I have had him for a few classes and he is a great prof! If you do your end of the bargain, you'll do just great. He is very nice and helpful. He is also underrated because he does really care about his students and will help students with anything.

although he does know his stuff, he is not teaching it properley. He constantly contradicts the textbook, which leads you completely confused. you must learn what HIS answers are, not the books. For example, on assignments, you may get the definition of something out of a book but then get the Q wrong becuase he doesn't agree with the book's def'n.

Trying hard only counts for so much...Prof. Sandberg knows his stuff but can't seem to teach it to others. He's also pretty moody, so make sure you ask for help on a good day.My advice, get a tutor, and try not to listen to him try to answer questions in class, it will only confuse you more!

Oh please, quit complaining. He didn't take attendance! He is a great prof who tries really hard. He is very helpful and tries to make the info interesting. You try teaching stats to 100 social science students! Do your readings, give your own effort, don't expect him to do your work.

i hated this class with a passion. He was so bad that I ended up having to teach the course to myself. And half way through the semester he starts taking attendance so watchout. The final exam didn't test your knowledge of stats at all. Bad class take the pysch stats instead!

This was a good class overall, i don't mind stats. The prof is pretty good, though student input during class helps tremendously when the prof gets stuck in one way of explaining something.

not fun course AT ALL - but he's actually a pretty funny professor. Does what he can with lectures...the material blows. He has a disorganization issue though - and Needs To Fix The Overheads Because Not Every Letter Needs A Captial and there are mistakes all over the place. Good on webCT though.
