Comment:
I would suggest taking the class online, as the course is very internet based. Going into class every day felt kinda like a waste of time, unless you enjoy hearing conspiracy theories for an hour and a half. And, another important note- communication is KEY with Berger, and attendance is very important.

Participation is an inordinately large portion of the grade. Miss one assignment, and he'll pull you down a letter grade. It doesn't matter if you turn in thirty-nine out of forty assignments and score a 90 or above on every single one of them. Communication is generally unclear and fettered with useless off-topic discussion.

Berger is one of the best. His classes are very thought provoking, but expect to get down to some work (well, I might be one of those compulsive students that goes a bit too far with their homework...) :) I have had him for many of the classes he teaches, and almost wish I wasn't completing the program this semester.

This is probably my third class with Kurt and he is an awesome professor. He inspired me from day one, he is always on top of things, pushing so you can do better. His emails are long but always with positive sense of humor, also very detailed and informative. When I got my IT job he was the first person I thank. I wish there were more like him.

He is your reflection. You do what's expected from you then he would do what's expected from him. If you are whining about him, then clearly you didn't what you were supposed to.

Kurt Berger, he's quite the character. He definitely has the ability to take the most boring of subjects and make them tolerable, if not enjoyable. His signature learning scheme is through the use of a Jeopardy type game. He can be very helpful, if you prove to him that you are willing to help yourself. Don't expect him to give you any answers.

Kurt is perhaps one of the finest professors I have ever known. I have had the pleasure of being in 3 of his classes. Kurt makes you want to learn, even if you are not interested in the subject. I have always found him to be more than fair. He truly is a great professor.

I have taken Kurt's classes for several semesters in the past two years and he has always done a great job. He takes everything very serious and you will understand a lot if YOU put in the effort. I graduated last May from SCC and I always tell others to take his class because he was always fair and helpful. (Unlike Mr. Kirk Stevens)...,

Very arrogant and unprofessional. SCC really needs to evaluate their current teachers. This school used to the best but I will never attend there again. This guy is going to get the college into trouble if they don't do something about him.

Use less and very unclear concering his expectations in class. Has a real problem with any female who might obtain any knowledge about computers. He needs to spend more time doing his job and not letting every one or thing do it for him. Absolutely the worst teacher of my life.
