Comment:

Prof. Khoury is lovely. Her lectures are clear and she covers a whole range of issues thoroughly. She uses many non-legal sources which is refreshing. She has high expectations and so her grading is pretty tough, but overall she prepares you well for the assignments. She is very helpful in office hours & she gives good feedback!

I found Khoury very difficult to engage with as a professor. She often explains concepts in ambiguous terms and becomes easily impatient with students. She may mean well but often micro-manages the classroom which leaves students feeling constantly on edge. Unfortunately I did not enjoy her teaching style compared to other McGill professors.

Comment:

She's a good teacher. Her powerpoints are the best. She is not messy, she is very clear and structured. Sometimes she seems not very approachable, but when you go to see her at her office she answers you 10000 questions without problem. She is a fair grader, but pay a lot of attention to grammar and typos which also counts on the grade.

Clear lecturer, total mess otherwise. Unclear expectations, unclear exam and assignment questions, refuses to clarify. She refused to see students in her office or answer emails during midterm assignment. She seems totally frantic, I was worried about her health! While it turned out ok, it was a stressful and overly complicated ordeal.

Comment:

Prof Khoury is a respected scholar, most notably in her specialized field of medical liability. Her pedagogical skills, however, leave much to be desired. She is disorganized in her teachings and does not adequately manage her time. She likes things done her way and her way alone. Pro: She is always available on appointment.

Very good teacher, pay close attention to what she wants from you because she is very helpful and gives great tips on how to succeed at her exams. Very bright scholar ! She is not a pretentious teachers which leads some students to think that she lacks confidence... I don't think so, I think she just sets hight standards for herself.

Comment:

Khoury is a good prof. She tries to help by providing the pwps and the previous exams with the best answers. Class is fun. However, she is a hard marker. Have not taken the final yet, but did well in mid-term by looking at the best answers. Loves her subject.

She is a clear prof who tries to break concepts down into neat boxes, and then questions them. She can, however, get impatient with students when she feels that she is repeating herself. Overall, she will provide you with a good structure, but is a medium-to-hard grader.
