Ms. Lorence is an experienced teacher of all grades & does a great job of introducing to us students about different types of learning and teaching styles for when we become teachers. Her classes can get a bit boring but you are guaranteed to learn a lot. She also is easy going and a jokester, she will also guide you through any questions you have

I took her class randomly without looking others comment. this class is very easy you just need to to every week a class work activity on computer and submit, and the next class you basically need to do 2 quizzes. if you got bad grade on them, she will let you to do them again! which is amazing. you need to have the book. she is really good proof.

Professor Lorence is an instructor who asks that you USE what you learn, so her quizzes sometimes seem harder than other teachers. Pay attention to her discussion questions. When I was interviewed at San Marcos , they asked similar things.

This is a 2 credit class, however the work we are expected to do is more than that. Often the questions on the quizzes require an opinion and yours will be wrong. She's also very unorganized and there are often serious grammatical errors in the online readings and in her self made videos.

Do not take Edu w/ her. She is literally the least flexible person I have ever come across. You could be on your deathbed and she would expect you to turn in your assignments on time.

I took her class online and i found it difficult to understand most of her instructions. Her tests are suppose to be from the book, but most questions are not from the book at all, and if they are it is extremly re-written.

Positives were consistent format every week, cheap book, not a lot of time needed to be spent on assignments. Negatives were I made better grades on test when I didn't read the material, most of the syllabus was wrong(dates, pages, titles), and when you miss points its because there is no straight answer it's more opinion based.

Wow, I'm really surprised that she's getting so many compliments for clarity. I found her instructions to be very unclear, but I also took the online section. The work itself was pretty easy. The really challenging part for me was trying to figure out what she wanted.

I really enjoyed Laurie's classes. I thought she was very fair all around in terms of grading, tests and assign. I took her classes online and at times it was hard, but she would walk me through it and I'm grateful she did. She was so understanding and I really appreicated that. Thanks Laurie!!!!

Best English teacher on the planet! But don't think for a second that she's easy...TOUGH BUT FAIR! She always put out a lot of good knowledge and information. You have to give your best effort on taskings and quizzes; otherwise you'll end up with what you deserve.

I took this course online over the summer. I usually don't like English but she makes this class easy to grasp. Gives you enough time between lessons, quizzes and exams. If she taught 101, I'd definitely take her again. Highly recommend this professor even for an online class

Laurie is so awesome - she is one of those Prof's you'll write a letter to 20 years from now b/c she made such an impact in your life. She cares about the students, the subject matter, and is the most down-to-earth person ever. Online course is fast-paced but as long as you do some reading and participate in discussions, you'll be fine.

Laurie is such an AMAZING TEACHER!!! I've learned a LOT! She is very HELPFUL and very CLEAR. Just make sure you take all the online quizzes and in your assignments follow the directions she gives and you will do fine.
