Comment:

Loss is certainly a bit of a Flake, but he's earnest, really supportive, and willing to take the class to interesting places and let the students grow. The amount of work is minimal, the readings are always pretty interesting, and he shows lots of films. It's really worth a try taking his class because they're always laidback and real fun.

Comment:

I took this class on a whim, but at the end I had absolutely no regrets. Dr. Glazier is a great instructor and his stories never cease to amaze me. The beginning of the semester was difficult for me, but once you grow accustomed to analyzing seemingly nonsensical prose and poetry it becomes easier and I eventually learned to enjoy it.

TAKE THIS CLASS. Dr. Glazier is absolutely brilliant, and his stories are so funny and so interesting. The class teaches you how to think, and you feel so accomplished once you can look at a work like Gertrude Stein's Tender Buttons and start to analyze it. Many movies, not a lot of writing, very VERY interesting. very highly recommended.

He takes some getting used to, but he's a really nice guy. Class can seem dry depending on your interest level, but it can be an easy grade ( especially when he cancels class a lot)

This class is very bizarre at first, but if you can get the basic ideas it's interesting enough to be worthwhile. Not much work beyond reading the book and responding and an oral report. Worthwhile.

presents lots of interesting stuff. a bit flakey. classes could often use more direction. aside from some wasted time, mostly enjoyable.
