A veritable fount of information. A fine prof, with a slightly morbid sense of humour (when concerning his health). Sure his lectures go a teensy bit off topic at times but he's honestly very insightful and clearly knows his stuff. It's a shame he doesn't teach the West Thought course anymore, but his upper-level inquiry course is equally brilliant

G-span is such a cute old man, but he tends to go off on tangents and it can be hard to follow his lectures.

Had him for Modern Western Thought...nice guy, pleasant..a little confused at times. He did clarify the readings, but his lectures sometimes jump all over the place.

A rare bird to find on campus. Enlightening speaker. A little odd. Epitomizes the extremely brilliant yet absent minded professors which is part of his charm. Get a course with him when and if you can. One of the most widely respected profs on campus.
