Mary is a great professor! She cares about her students and is always happy to help. She is very gracious and if something comes up she will work with you. Her class had a decent amount of work, but nothing too hard. She has a few tests but has a quiz every week. I would take her again!

Mary Spillman is one of the best professors that Ive had at Ball State. She is super understanding and does an excellent job teaching. This class isnt an easy one, but she makes it understandable. Go to class, attendance matters.

Love her. She's a shining star in the journalism department because a lot of profs don't seem to care. But Mrs. Spillman started every day with a smile on her face & a prepared set of activities. She inspired me to continue working hard in this major. My favorite quote from her this semester - "Don't think like a student; think like a journalist."

Mary is a great professor! She can be a bit boring on her lectures, but she likes to tell jokes and can be sarcastic at times. HEAVY WRITING CLASS! if you want an A, come to class every time and do the work and you will have no problem getting an A.

It was basically the same type of work done in News 240. Pointless use of learning new apps when I will never use them again. Most of class time was pointless and re-learned some information that I already new from previous news courses. Good teacher, pretty fair grading - kind of a waste of an 1 hr & 15 mins

This class is called Multimedia Reporting. But we have 5 weeks left in this semester and we haven't done ANY reporting. It's so pointless! This is just a waste of time and money. Most if it is just busy work, not even relevant to reporting or telecommunications. This class desperately needs revamped.
