Comment:

Professor Eisenberg is easily one of the most intelligent professors I've ever encountered. The class is long and can be confusing at some points, but it is very interesting. He consistently makes connections between subject material and the real world which helps a lot. I didnt read the book as he expected but I still passed with an A-.

Comment:

Hes a nice man, & thats the only good thing I have to say. His lectures drag on, & he gets off topic. You can tell he loves chem, but his enthusiasm doesnt translate. Hes ancient & refuses to use a computer, much less blackboard or his email account. He only has 3 tests which are extremely hard, especially for a 100 level course. Dont take!!!!!

Comment:

He is good professor with great knowledge in chemistry, but goes off topic sometimes. I took him Monday evening 7:00PM to 9:50PM. I missed like 3-4 classes. He curved most tests. the class is only 3 UNIT TESTS.

I highly recommend him. He does a great job at making chemistry interesting. He lectures old school, no power points but it works for him (slow paced). I only used the book when I missed that class. The tests can be tricky but he tells you what to review prior. If you don't understand something he will work with you . Great Professor!

Comment:

Some people really won't not care for Mr. Eisenberg's style of teaching, but in my mind the pros very much outweigh the cons as he really tries to make the course subject matter as interesting as possible. He also gives a very clear outline of what subjects you will need to study for tests and what the format of the test will be.

I was not looking forward to taking Chemistry in my senior year but Professor Eisenberg made it very interesting. For this to be an evening science class with no lab, he did an extremely good job of keeping us awake and engaged. I learned so much and I definitely recommend him!

Very enthusiastic about the subject but tests are impossible. Didn't provide a syllabus so you have no idea where your grade stands. Very nice guy, but not an easy class.

I am currently in his class and wish I never took him. He is a nice guy and all, and he teaches well. However, he doesnt have any hand outs of things to study, and his tests are impossible. He gives a curve to his tests but he has to realize this is a 100 class. Not a 400 class.

Good teacher. I learned a lot. For preparing for the tests he has short reviews, and for studying just make flash cards of the stuff he tells you to study. It's not that hard really. He also curves the tests which is very helpful in raising your grade.

Always get out 40+ minutes early as a night class. The tests can be difficult, but doing the chapter reviews in the text is extremely helpful. He'll also curve an exam if a lot of people do poorly. Not recommended for freshmen, or anyone is not prepared to work outside of class.
