He cares greatly about students, life and everything. He is a great guy. He wants to make the world a better place. He is a great story teller- if you get the point of how the stories relate to what you are doing, you can learn a lot from him. He knows his subjects well and is very bright - always on top of things and does what he says.

This class was a joke. I dont even know what a control system is. Was his first time teaching this class so he made it super easy. Didnt learn anything tho. You can take him if you want an easy A. Will allow you to use a pdf version of the book during the tests (which are open-book open notes).

He is by far the worst teacher in the department. He doesn't even look at people's projects he just assigns random grades. He never teaches. You won't learn a single thing.

Attendance isn't mandatory. He basically just talks about himself and his previous jobs so class is a waste of time. Midterm has definitions and problems, it's open book so it's pretty easy. Work in large groups for the projects and this class will be a very easy A.

Comment:

Worst professor in the department. Have taken 335 & 370 with him and still can't think of a day where he actually taught. Very nice guy, but horrible teacher. Avoid at all costs. Don't make the mistake I did by wasting $5k and two semesters taking classes with him. Wait until someone else teaches it or find someone else to teach it to you.

I paid for an education, not to go to class and listen about his previous jobs. You learn nothing and pass easily. I want to succeed in my field, and I just got cheated out of an education. Take the physics electomagnetics instead, you might actually learn something. Nice guy, but worst professor in the EE department at NIU.

Looks like George Lucas on a good day. Talk about inventing the wheel here. If your lazy, he'll be your best friend and pass you. If your a hard worker, your his nightmare. Word of advice, don't make him work too hard. I Learned nothing. Nice guy.

Smart guy, bad teacher. I received an A in the class, but I don't know crap. This is very important material. McGinn had to reteach me all of the EM stuff later on... wasting a lot of time in his classes. Maybe if teached you one-on-one, it'd be fine.

You know what, you guys got to cut this guy a break. Compared to the teachers for ELE356, ELE335,and >>ELE360<<... he is actually a pretty caring guy. Remember who taught ELE370 before HAJI. "mc"GIN, failed 85% of his class! enough said.

This teacher reads straight from the book, which isn't helpful either. If you ask how to do a problem, he doesn't explain how to do the problem, he just does the problem and assumes the method is obvious to everyone.

I highly doubt that most EE jobs rely heavely on electromagnetics(heavy theory). It is the practical aspects of engineering that employers will value most. And besides, when was the last time your boss asked you to use integrals to find charge density

Expect to spend 4 hours a week on hw in the minimum, and not understand a thing. You will spend a class period going over a hw problem that was assigned, only for Haji to realize that he can't even do the problem. Its too bad, He's a nice enough guy.

Comment:

Dr. Haji-Sheikh has a difficult time relaying the material to the class. He often goes out on tangents, and he seems to have virtually no organization to his lectures. While the homework is long and tedious, the tests are relatively simple.
