Dr. Knapp is one of my favorite math teachers I have ever had. Although we have weekly homework, there is plenty of time to ask for help. They are easy grade boosters. There are weekly quizzes that are the easiest possible problems he can give. He makes sure everyone leaves class understanding and lectures with enthusiasm, and some jokes.

He is one of the worst teachers I've ever had. His lectures are terrible and extremely confusing for simple problems and he makes you feel so stupid if you do not know what is going on. do not take him if you have a hard time with math.

Weekly webwork hw. He is animated about math each class. He explains concepts well, sometimes to the point of oversimplifying, & asks for questions after each new concept. Attendance is not mandatory, but he takes attendance in the beginning to learn names. If you forget to come to class for a test he emails you at the start of class to remind you.

Professor Knapp is the best math teacher i have had in my entire life. He is so clear with his lectures and is so helpful if you go to him for office hours which he is always willing to change to make available for everyone. He gives a quiz once a week that is an easy A cause he tells you what is on it and then 2 midterms and a final which are fair

Overall the best calculus professor I have had at Loyola. His lectures can be quite dull especially if you are in a early class time specifically, but in general he is a very easy grader, you can get 2/3 on a quiz but get an A- if your steps were right. His voice is very clear as if I'm watching YouTube alone and the pacing is steady yet efficient.

Very hard course. Lots of homework due every week. His lectures are hard to follow and if you miss one thing it could potentially destroy your grade. Class would be much easier if the homework explained what you did wrong rather than just say its wrong. He has the option to allow the online homework to correct the student but chooses not to do so.

Easy class if you took calc in highschool. Quizzes once a week that are very easy that can really help your grade. Online homework that is due once a week also but can be really hard sometimes but find someone to take the class with and do it together. Tests are fairly harder than any of the quizzes or examples used in class

He is a great person and teacher but slightly boring sometimes. His lectures are extensive, packed with lots of info but make you sleepy. Homeworks are okay but you should get started at begining of week. Going to help is sometimes hard because you feel like he is laughing at you and it makes you feel stupid.

Dr. Knapp is a really nice person. He's always willing to explain concepts again if you don't understand something. However, the class starts off easy and gets hard towards the end of the semester. His tests are tough, too. He also gives webwork assignments which are difficult. I don't plan on majoring in math or science so this was overwhelming!

Professor knapp is a terrible calculus teacher. He is very boring, repeditive, and confusing. He takes the entire class to explain one easy problem using every letter in the alphabet but no numbers and then gives weekly online homework which is next to impossible. No calculators allowed. Only did well because i took calc in high school. Avoid!

Seriously, Dr. Knapp is the best math professor I've had in college. He will always take time out to help you if you ask for it(no matter how dumb the questions are). He explains everything in class very well and tells you exactly what you will be tested on. You almost never use the textbook(I didn't even buy mine). Take him-you won't regret it!

Knapp is my favorite teacher of all time. He writes everything you need to know on the board. Gives really clear examples and goes through every step. Homework is usually easy but if its not you can ask for help and he is really helpful. Holds review sessions before his exams which are also pretty easy. Definitely take his class.

Dr. Knapp has 10 quizzes worth 50 points of total grade, Webwork homework due weekly worth 10 points, two midterms worth 100 points each, and a cumulative final exam worth 200 points. He uses a lot of example problems to help teach concepts; hardest material is learned at the end of the year.

Had him for Calc 2. You don't even need to listen in class, just copy what he writes on the board into your notebook and use it to study. He teaches pretty slowly, but you'd have to be a dumbass to not understand his lectures. His tests and quizes arent that bad, and the webwork tends to be easy.
