Amazing professor, teaches from experience! More professors need to be like him! He is patient and will answer any and all questions! Gives you the info for the tests early. Very easy as long as you take notes! Always has stories to relate to the topics, over-all a very enjoyable experience! I definately recommend taking his calss!!

Murphy is definitely the best professor I've ever had, he talks about history like he was there, and I almost felt honored to be able to listen to him. His tests are easy, just memorization, and he lets you know what will be on it. Take a class with him, you will not regret it.

Amazing Teacher! Must take him. He is a well-travelled old guy with tons of information on just about anything. Two tests and an essay and forget the textbook. he teaches from experience. something more teachers need. you will take away a whole lot more about how you look at the world in general thanks to his musings

This man is a great professor. He is not what you come to expect from SCC...fortunately. He knows what he's talking about, and is more than fair in grading and reviewing. The textbook is not used; don't bother purchasing it (at least for REL2300). He is also unbiased and does not spend class time going on about his opinions as many professors do...

An abosolute treat to be enrolled in any of his classes. I don't know what he's doing at SCC, b/c he is private school and university material and would have booked classes with a devoted following anywhere. How anyone could give him a bad review is beyond me. I beseech everyone to take a class with him teaching.

I took every single one of his classes and he is just the nicest man you will ever meet. If you pay attention, you'll do fine. He is so nkowledgable on every subject he teaches..little boring sometimes, but easy. He tells you exactly what is on the test so it is a matter of memorization!! Awesome teacher!...Wish he taught more!

TAKE THIS CLASS NOW! NOT easy though, there ARE notes (big whoop right). YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BUY THE BOOK! SAVE MONEY! Speaches are interesting and cool. do 2 papers and 2 tests and thats it. Study the notes and you'll do fine. No prob. TAKE THIS CLASS! This guy is like a wise wizard like Merlin!
