Shows up 10 mins late for class every day, teaches as though everyone is in middle school or has a low IQ, probably because most students are right out of high school. I felt like I lost brain cells every time I sat in that class.

Very disorganized. He sometimes repeats things 4 or 5 times in a raw. Doesnt really make good use of the material, and restricts what you can write about. He is very inconsistent with his grades and doesnt really make clear what you did wrong. He does go over some interesting stuff and there are moments when hell give some interesting insight.

Im actually surprised that this teacher doesnt have at least a 4 star rating. Hes very passionate about what he teachers and takes the time to meet with everyone individually during class to make sure your essays are perfect. Hes very nice and makes the readings very interesting. Im not a fan of literature at all but he sure did make it fun.

I will start with the one positive thing I can say, he only asked that we write six papers which I didn't think was too many. Everything else about his class was awful. He is a tough grader, his grading is all over the place and the feedback is not helpful. I will never take a class with him again, he is the reason I found rate my professor.

He's a cool professor. Very passionate about the work and very animated. He gives out a syllabus but it didn't get followed completely just because we spent more time on certain topics. Be ready to analyze poems, short stories, and a play. He hands out questions for each theme and piece of work, which will help on the exams, just make sure to study

He is a real highlight of a teacher at CSM. I enjoyed going to his class, and most of the time it wasn't even mandatory. He does go off topic sometimes but the way he talks about Eng. Lit and the passion makes you interested. He is very into making sure you know the purpose of Eng. Lit and not just how to type a paper. Fav professor.

Overall great teacher! Yea, he gets sidetracked a bit, but his discussions are interesting anyway. Would highly recommend. Just do the homework and form some study groups in your class and you'll be fine. Though, his class is a bit easier if you already know some French from high school.

Extremely disorganized. Often goes on long, irrelevant tangents. Changes homework guidelines often, and does not always collect the work he makes you do. Unclear HW/essay expectations in general. Leads discussions in very black and white ways. You'll talk more about US culture than French culture in FRE1050. Honestly dreaded going to his classes.

Professor Dwyer is a GREAT professor. You can really tell that he is passionate about English Lit because by the end of the course, I was even into it! On the first day of class he honestly said "this class is going to be a struggle for some of you but I am here for you." Talk about intimidating! Just go to class and become his best friend.

Professor Dwyer is honestly one of the best English teachers I've ever had. You definitely have to put forth the effort, but it's a college class, so that's expected. He makes old literature applicable in the modern world. He truly wants to see his students succeed. I wish I wasn't graduating in the spring because I would take all of his classes.

This literature class taught me so much that I can utilize outside of the classroom. I learned a lot about myself and was forced to think in a way I wouldn't have outside of this class. I loved the class and if anyone has been through anything serious or traumatic in life.... you will too appreciate this class.

Loved him. Has a tendency to go on long, ten-minute digressions, but he does manage to make a point with it all รข€" you just have to pay attention. He does know his stuff and expects you to read thoroughly, interpret and infer with originality, and write well. If you're looking for one last easy English class, look elsewhere unless you want to work.

I had Professor Dwyer for French 1050 (and was excited to take it)he's a nice enough guy, however he is extremely unorganized which I did not like at all! He also acts as if his class is the most important thing in your life. He can be helpful at times, but I would not take any of his classes ever again.

Perhaps portions of each reviews hold truths. For myself, I see him eager to help you if you seem eager to learn. At the end of the day no one is perfect but I beleive Dwyer is a good person and a qualified professor.
