The course was very challenging under the new revised version. I always believe you get what you put in. Dr. Gilmore was an awesome guide and instructor. I highly recommend him if you are a determined learner. If you are an achiever, this instructor is for you. No freebies but good advice.

Comment:

Accounting is not my favourite subject, but "Dr." Gilmore makes me flat out hate it. He does NOT teach anything, but instead chooses to make his students do their own assignments out of the text book in class instead. Don't bother asking for clarity either, he will simply talk down to you like you don't have a right to ask. DO NOT TAKE HIM EVER!

Dr. Gilmore may have his doctorate, but it doesn't mean he can teach... All he does is put up a powerpoint and read through it. You have to read the book like crazy and study every detail since he tests directly from the book. And the quiz given on every chapter..be prepared to do really bad on them, and wipe the dust off your shoulder after class.

The only way to really learn from him is going up and asking questions. He is really boring in class and pretty much all you do is exercises in class. You have to do a lot of work outside of class to understand any of it!

This is the worst accounting teacher. He is slow, mumbles, and doesn't know most of what he is teaching. I do not know how he keeps his certification. Liberty keeps him on because his wife, JoAnn, is a great teacher.
